About

10cc in Concert

After making pop/rock history in the 1970s, 10cc split up in the early '80s, but a reunited version of the band fronted by co-founders Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman did a couple of tours in the mid-'90s. Then in 2002 Gouldman began making the rounds with a new lineup of 10cc, including '70s members Rick Fenn on guitar and Paul Burgess on drums. Their shows re-create the elaborate art-pop sophistication that made 10cc famous, touching on material from all across their discography. And as a bonus, their sets have also been known to include some of the hits Gouldman wrote for other artists in the '60s, pre-10cc, like The Hollies' "Bus Stop" and Herman's Hermits' "Heart Full of Soul."

10cc Background

Though most Americans probably know 10cc best for big '70s hits like "I'm Not in Love" and "The Things We Do for Love," there's much more to their story. The original lineup of guitarist Eric Stewart, guitarist/keyboardist Lol Creme, bassist/guitarist Graham Gouldman and drummer Kevin Godley came together as 10cc in 1972, all having been active in the British music scene previously. Each of the four members was a gifted singer-songwriter, and when their talents were combined, they crafted a unique brand of art pop full of hooks and eccentricities in equal amounts. They began scoring big hits in the U.K. straight out of the gate with 1972's No. 2 single "Donna." They scored a long string of British hits throughout the '70s, including "Rubber Bullets," "Art for Art's Sake," "Good Morning Judge" and "Dreadlock Holiday." Their big breakthrough in the U.S. came with the 1975 smash "I'm Not in Love," followed by another big U.S. hit the next year, "The Things We Do for Love." By that time, Godley and Creme had departed to work as a duo, while Stewart and Gouldman led the band into the early '80s. They had a revival for a couple of tours and an album in the mid '90s before Stewart led a revamped version of the band back to regular touring starting in the '00s.

  • Still in Love

by That Girl on 9/15/25Rating: 5 out of 5

I was so happy to see them at the Celebrity Theatre. I remember being a girl and tearing up to THAT song. OMG, what a performance! And, just when you thought it was over they sang ACAPELLA. Their stage presence was every bit as good as the music! Love!

  • FANTASTIC CONCERT.

I was a big fan of 10cc in the early 70's. I was born and brought up around 50 miles from where they were formed. I've waited 50 years to see them play live. And it was TOTALLY WORTH THE WAIT. They put on an AWESOME, INCREDIBLE 😲 show. FABULOUS.

  • 10CC still sound great

You never know with retro shows. Often they are down to one original member so they can use the band name. 10CC had 3 members. Graham Gouldman on bass, Rick Fenn on lead guitar and and Paul Burgess on percussion.Rick and Paul were not day one members (the blurb I read was likely written by a Godley and Creme fan who claimed only one original member remained). Rick and Paul are from the early 70s lineup, though technically not from day one. Keith Hayman handled keyboards and Andy Park did vocals and played guitar. But at various parts of the show, just about everyone played each instrument. Hayman, the newest addition, did a fabulous job on keyboards and filled in as a second guitar on a few songs. Andy Park did a good job on vocals, even doing a credible job on "Donna"the first 10CC hit in '72 in falsetto voice. Having been a fan since close to day one, it took a song or two to adjust to them being 10 years older than myself. I was amazed at how technically pure to the original versions they remain..even on songs like Feel the Benefit and I'm Mandy, Fly me. Rick and Graham both play with fun and intensity.. It's clear they still enjoy their legacy. Dreadlock Holiday remains one of my all time favorite car seat singing songs. A week before I found out about the concert my son, myself and my ex sang our wine drenched version at dinner...Along with Rubber Bullets. The surprise of the night was great. I had seen the set list from the previous night in Phoenix and Wall Street Shuffle was missing. Fortunately, it was included in the Denver set and they killed it. Such great satire sewn into great music...That was their hallmark and largely under appreciated in America. The only song I missed was "people in love", a song done primarily in higher registers that Eric Stewart could pull off. No knock on Andy Park, he was solid on the songs they did include in their setlist. It reaffirmed my belief that they have one of the stronger catalogs of music that rarely gets its due. The musicianship is great, the variety of subjects they cover is brilliant.. The show really brought it all back to me.

This was one of the most enjoyable concerts I've been to in a very long time: first-rate musicians making great music. The band was super tight and were clearly having a lot of fun.

The 10 cc show on September 2 was one of the best concerts I have ever attended. The band was incredibly tight professional, and it really showed that they were happy to perform for us. Each one of the musicians was highly proficient, and it really showed in the overall Best money I've spent in a while

  • Well worth the wait

by Mcfoghat on 9/2/25Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

I read that it has been 45+ years since the last 10cc US tour. It was worth the wait. The members put in beautiful performances and each and every song sounded as good or better than the original recordings. This was an incredibly entertaining show and it could have gone on for hours. The Westgate staff was very accommodating and the show sounded beautiful and the audience was a bit subdued but everything was so perfectly executed that I couldn't find a thing to complain about.
