    Awesome night

by martinigirlmina on 12/10/14The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

Mary Lambert was very funny and entertaining. Could not get enough of Fitz and the Tantrums - thought they were the headliner, so would have liked to hear more from them. While I may be in the minority, Sam Smith is really not my kind of music. He has a great voice and all but I almost wanted to kill myself listening to his sad songs. Lighten up, Sam! We left shortly after "Not the Only One".

Fitz and the Tantrums should of Headlined. Mary Lambert is talented but depressing. Sam Smith was great, but he brought the Energy down after Fitz and the Tantrums. Amazing Venue. I loved it.

    Enjoyed all 3 musicians!

by SharonMT on 12/9/14The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

What a great show! Mary Lambert was so relatable, and real, and of course so very talented! Sam Smith's voice gives me chills! And he was so humble! Fitz and the Tantrums were fun and crazy! Can't wait to see more of all of these artists!

Sam Smith, Fitz and the Tantrums and Mary Lambert

by drexican on 12/9/14The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

It was great! My only criticism is that Sam Smith didn't perform enough songs .

    amazing

by Betzel on 12/9/14The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

Mary Lambert's performance was just OK. She has an agenda to her songs and expressed to the people we attended with a very dark side of life. Don't get me wrong she has nice vocals but her lyrics and talking points did not fit a holiday atmosphere for a Christmas concert. On the other hand Fitz and the Tantrums and Sam Smith were what we have grown to expect from the Miracle on State Street concerts; AMAZING, SUPERB, TALENTED, and so ENTERTAINING.. Audience participation was fun! Maybe a Christmas carol thrown in here and there would be great,

    Disappointed

by MusicLover1829 on 12/9/14The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

This by far was the worst event I have ever attended. The sound system was horrible. You couldn't understand anything any band or singer was singing. It was not a Christmas show at all. 101.9 did nothing with this event. They hung two banners off to the sides of the stage and sold it as a Christmas show. There was only one Christmas song sang the whole night. The stage had nothing on it but the bands equipment. Not a tree or even a computer imaged backdrop. Nothing. I would never attend another 101.9 event. 101.9 made Chicago look bad. Sam Smith was the only saving grace of the evening. He has an amazing voice.

    40 minutes for $90

by ehusarik on 12/9/14The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

I have been to many Miracle on States, and this one totally disappointed me. Sam Smith sang for 40 minutes. The main act sang for 40 minutes! This was a Christmas show with no Christmas songs. For $90, I could have gone to a Blackhawks game. Twice! And that would have been 6 hours of fun!

Miracle on State Street was incredible!!!!

by cjcov on 12/9/14The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

All three acts were super! I would recommend that you see their shows! Mary Lambert was very sweet and funny, loved her rendition of Silent Night! Fitz and the Tantrums were so energetic they really had the crowd going! They sound so great live! Sam Smith was well worth the wait, it's easy to see why his concert at UIC next month is sold out!

    Sam Smith was awesome

by Bgirlpun on 12/9/14The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

This was a fun event. We got there at 8, so we missed Mary Lambert. We saw Fitz and the Tantrums and Sam Smith and both were really awesome. I liked that everything was prompt and on time.

Best Miracle on State Street Ever

by Hammbones on 12/9/14The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

Mary Lambert was fantastic and funny. Fitz and the Tantrums were so entertaining. Sam Smith was just unbelievable. He sang a Whitney Houston song, along with his songs, and it was great.

The venue was beautiful and clean. Drinks overpriced as usual :} Definitely would recommend a main floor seat

Ain't no party like a backstreet party!

Came for Backstreet Boys 100% but enjoyed the whole show!

Backstreet Boys rocked it as usual!!!

by Lizzie2686 on 12/9/13The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

The show started off with American Authors, who I really enjoyed. Then Colbie Caillat came on. I knew a lot more songs than I thought and thought that she was great live. The Plain White Tees were also great! They were energetic and put on a great show! However, they saved the best for last. The Backstreet Boys were AMAZING!!! I have been a fan for what seems like forever, and they just keep getting better. Overall, it was a great experience. We even had our seats upgraded for free because we got their early and they had seats that hadn't been sold. This might become my annual holiday tradition!!!

    Skip This One!!

by Lynnski24 on 12/9/13The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

Experience was not a good one! The seats are very low to the ground and made for an unpleasant time. They also clearly have no heat as I needed a winter coat during the entire show and was still cold. Throwing in an opening act to a three act show was unpleasant, but they were the best part of the show. American Authors sang three songs and were a lot of fun as it was all upbeat. Colbie caillat gave a little too much information about herself, including her good poisoning, between songs. Her throat had clearly not recovered as she sounded off. Plain white t's were plain AWFUL. They started their 9-10 song set with five songs no ones ever heard as they weren't singles. The awful rock sound and screaming in the songs did not encourage me to go buy their album. By the time they started singing recognizable songs, we were already wanting to move on. Perfect time for bathroom and food break! The Backstreet Boys came on at 10; reminiscent of their August concert where you're ready to go home around when they hit the stage. After working all day, my group was tired and still had to drive home. We listened to about 6 songs, and sadly left. So much for their "special performance."

    Great show

by Backstreetboygirl94 on 12/9/13The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

I originally went for plain white ts and backstreet boys, but the American authors and collbie were amazing too!!! Backstreet boys definitely brought the best proformance. I was afraid at first because they started off I all that new.. Stuff. I'm more of a old school backstreet lover. Overall the show was amazing!
