10 Years Concert Schedule
Despite the band's inscrutable name, 10 Years's eighth studio album, (How to Live) as Ghosts (2017), is more relatable than ever. At the end of the day the five members of 10 Years just want to make music that says something about the mortality, numbness and shock of real life -- and that comes through on stage. Seeing a 10 Years live show is your ticket to a moody, melancholic and mesmerizing alt-rock experience that shows clear influences from some of their heroes -- and touring partners -- like Sevendust, Mudvayne, Korn and Disturbed. 10 Years tours include 2017 (How to Live) as Ghosts, 2014-2017 From Birth to Burial and 2011-2014 Minus the Machine. 10 Years's first single released in 2005, "Wasteland," was also their only song to hit No. 1 on Billboard's U.S. Alternative charts, making it arguably their biggest hit. The 10 Years album Division (2008) was also a hit, peaking at No. 2 on Billboard's US Alternative Albums chart and No. 12 on the Billboard 200. The next album, Feeding the Wolves (2010) did almost as well, hitting No. 3 on the alternative charts and No. 17 on the Billboard 200, and every album till 2017 has appeared on both charts.
10 Years Background
The original members of 10 Years came together in Tennessee in 1999, with lead singer Mike Underdown, drummer Brian Vodinh, Lewis Cosby on the bass, and both Ryan Johnson and Matt Wantland on guitar. Personnel shuffles started almost immediately and have continued throughout the years. For the 2017 (How to Live) as Ghosts tour, the lineup featured Jesse Hasek -- now well-established as the voice of 10 Years -- on lead vocals, Brian Vodinh on guitar instead of drums, Matt Wantland back on guitar, Chad Huff (who previously played the guitar) on bass, and Kyle Mayer on drums. The band members are defiantly coy about exactly where their band name originated. At first, they've said in interviews, the name's significance was so personal that they deliberately kept it to themselves. Over the years, that ambiguity allowed fans to find their own meaning in the name, so it's unlikely that the members of 10 Years will ever disclose their true origin story. Instead, they'll continue to step back and let their music speak for itself.
I loved all three bands and the venue! They all had so much energy and great crowd interaction! 10 years will always be on my top list of favorite bands!
It was a badass show! The local bands were solid and very energetic. 10 Years played a great set and worked in both old and new songs throughout. My girlfriend and I made a 2 hour drive just to see them, and we definitely think it was worth it!
Got to see one of my favorite bands at the Carnival of Madness in Cleveland for the first time. I am just amazed by how truly awesome 10 Years is. These guys just do not disappoint. They are one of the best bands live. I am so glad I had the chance to see them and will go see them again in 2011 in ROTR in columbus.
Opening local band 1 Echo 1 was pretty cool , the next band was American Fangs, wasn't too impressed each song sounded the same. The venue wasn't all that impressive. I was from out of town so I wasn't sure to expect, not happy that only 21 is allowed on floor level =[ but the show was awesome and I got the set list and had the band sign it after the show it was pretty sweet!
I love that at Pieres even when you don't pay for the meet N' greet you still get to pretty much meet them everytime, get autographs and pictures! They put on an awesome show and I got all their autographs too!
Well the night started off with a band called Losing September from Indiana. They rocked and got us pumped for the next band! Then Wilson came on and partied with us until it was time for the almighty 10 Years!!!! 10 Years put on a perfect show as usual! They are such an amazing band, and they show so much passion when they perform! They sang songs from all four of their albums and they even did 2 acoustic ones =D They know how to rock you and make you want more for sure!!!!!!!!!! And after the show the band came out and singed stuff and talked to their fans! If you get a chance you need to go see these guys!!!! The club Piere's was awesome as well. It has about 4 or 5 bars in one and when the concert was over there were lots of things to do. There were 2 dance clubs and one karaoke bar! Even a house band played the stage after 10 Years. It was a really enjoyable time!
Have seen them multiple times and who ever they are playing with, hands down they take the show. You can feel their passion for their music, they are crowd pleasing, energetic, fun and master their music. They are dedicated to their fans and show that at every show they play!
We weren't able to stay for 10 years, but Lacuna Coil put on a very good show! The opening bands were awesome!
Group named Heirosonic opened the show, they were wonderful. Followed by the always great Fair to Midland, and then Lacuna Coil which was also outstanding!! Then, 10 years absolutely brought the house down! I would see them again and again and again, their stage presence is unlike any other, their emotion fills the room and their energy travels through you! One of the best live performances I have ever seen!!!
Worth the money just to see Fair to Midland alone. The energy they put out is like nothing I have ever seen before.
First there was Hierosonic. Great band. Then there was Fair To Midland. Even better band. Then, along came Lacuna Coil. Totally freakin awesome!! I wish they would have played more songs. Lastly, 10 Years rocked the club. Fantastic!! You know it's a good concert when you still can't hear properly a day later. Lacuna Coil should have headlined the show!!!
Best decision I ever made. If you have the chance to see 10 Years, I highly recommend it. This was my second time seeing them and I regret not making the effort to see them the last couple times. Do yourself a favor. Go see a 10 Years show. You won't be disappointed.
Lacuna Coil presented some spectacular energy when they are on stage. They played a variety of known songs and not so known songs, which was awesome. The quality was beyond great, and they portrayed their performance in an utmost powerful fashion. They have lots of feeling.
I've seen Lacuna Coil 3x now and this was the best yet. This was the smallest venue I've seen them at and I think it made for a better show. 10 Years is an awesome band and if you haven't heard or seen them your missing out. A lot of the crowd left before they went on probably because it was a Sunday night but they definitely missed out on an excellent show. They also played about 3 new songs of their CD which isn't out yet. It sounds like another great CD.
I have listened to them for @ 5 years and this was my first time seeing them live. What a great experience.
This is my 3rd time seeing 10 Years and each time they amaze me! Every song captures you and pulls you in to sing right along... Their stage presence is awesome it feels like they connect with you by making eye contact and coming out into the crowd: Holding Jesse up on the gate infront of me! I got to hold onto his legs and he used my boyfriends hands for more support as he leaned over the crowd! And then I got to touch Lewis's hand! I'm glad I was front row for that, Absolutely unforgettable!Needless to say AMAZING!! Fair to Midland was also really good.. The lead singer has extremely good vocals and can actually sing! We got the cd and it's well produced and sounds great..It's good to know that some new bands can actually make GOOD music: not the current music that's mainstreamed and terrible! They actually have a talent and have something to say that's definently worth listening to!! Bravo... Lacuna Coil was good as well,, their vocals were down a bit so it was hard to hear. I don't really know them but the lead singer had a captivating stage presence.. She just gave you a look that drew you in!
The show was incredible. These guys are the true performing artists. A rare breed of musicians this day and age. They feel their music (that they write) from their core and you can feel it too. The 20th Century Theater was an excellent venue for them. It holds about 400 people, giving a wonderful, intimate, garage-band feel to the show. It felt personal. Excellent show! I would want every true rock fan to experience 10 Years.
All bands absolutely rocked the house! Music was awesome, sound was great and they all totally connected with the audience. Most fun I have had at a show in a long time. The Rock is probably one of the best venues in town to see a show.
I would highly recomend going to one of 10 years concerts. They actually came off stage, and hung out with everyone after the concert. I had so much fun.
I was finally able to see one of my favorite music acts and avoid a sellout by purchasing ahead of time with Ticketmaster. Ticketmaster made it possible for me to see one of the greatest live bands around, with one of the best vocalists in the business (not to mention getting to meet him after the show!). Furthermore, I was able to meet the members of Down From Up and have found their music to be amazing, as well. It was truly an experience I will never forget!
