10 Years Concert Schedule

Despite the band's inscrutable name, 10 Years's eighth studio album, (How to Live) as Ghosts (2017), is more relatable than ever. At the end of the day the five members of 10 Years just want to make music that says something about the mortality, numbness and shock of real life -- and that comes through on stage. Seeing a 10 Years live show is your ticket to a moody, melancholic and mesmerizing alt-rock experience that shows clear influences from some of their heroes -- and touring partners -- like Sevendust, Mudvayne, Korn and Disturbed. 10 Years tours include 2017 (How to Live) as Ghosts, 2014-2017 From Birth to Burial and 2011-2014 Minus the Machine. 10 Years's first single released in 2005, "Wasteland," was also their only song to hit No. 1 on Billboard's U.S. Alternative charts, making it arguably their biggest hit. The 10 Years album Division (2008) was also a hit, peaking at No. 2 on Billboard's US Alternative Albums chart and No. 12 on the Billboard 200. The next album, Feeding the Wolves (2010) did almost as well, hitting No. 3 on the alternative charts and No. 17 on the Billboard 200, and every album till 2017 has appeared on both charts.

10 Years Background

The original members of 10 Years came together in Tennessee in 1999, with lead singer Mike Underdown, drummer Brian Vodinh, Lewis Cosby on the bass, and both Ryan Johnson and Matt Wantland on guitar. Personnel shuffles started almost immediately and have continued throughout the years. For the 2017 (How to Live) as Ghosts tour, the lineup featured Jesse Hasek -- now well-established as the voice of 10 Years -- on lead vocals, Brian Vodinh on guitar instead of drums, Matt Wantland back on guitar, Chad Huff (who previously played the guitar) on bass, and Kyle Mayer on drums. The band members are defiantly coy about exactly where their band name originated. At first, they've said in interviews, the name's significance was so personal that they deliberately kept it to themselves. Over the years, that ambiguity allowed fans to find their own meaning in the name, so it's unlikely that the members of 10 Years will ever disclose their true origin story. Instead, they'll continue to step back and let their music speak for itself.

    10 Years was amazing

by DCCrispy on 7/16/16Newport Music Hall - Columbus

I have been a fan of their work for many years. It is sad our radio market does not play their music, so I go on the hunt on the web for new releases and enjoy everything I find from acoustic sessions, to videos, to when new music is going to be released. When I heard they were coming to town, this was the concert that I wanted to see! Their performance was all I had hoped it would be. Amazing! They are very talented. It is clear they appreciate their fans and were there to give the fans access to their music. My husband, who does not listen to their music as I do, thoroughly enjoyed their session and is on the hunt for my 10 Year music stash to start adding it to his collection. Nice work and I look forward to hearing more music and seeing them again!

    Amazing!

by LisaLyn on 8/9/15State Theatre - St Petersburg

10 years cancelled due to their bus breaking down but Inception (a local band) filled in, opened the show and they were great!! The venue was small and had decent sound. Some audio trouble for Awaken the Empire at first but still put on an awesome show. The Family Ruin is amazing and really knows how to get a crowd going. Nonpoint was headlining the show in St. Pete since 10 years was out. And as always, they killed it!! All the bands put on a great show and fit in well with each other. The crowd seemed to like them all!! I gave this 4 stars for the venue sound quality (not great but still really good) and because 10 years had to cancel (beyond their control tho).

    Great Show - HIGHLY recommend

by Caracas on 8/8/15State Theatre - St Petersburg

Unfortunately the 10 Years van broke down, and they weren't in attendance. However, the other bands took advantage of the opportunity in a major way, and kept the audience happy. [N]Ception started things off with some really intricate, tight, heavy grooves, but also impressed with their stage show. No flashy lights/pyro - just being real - they actually smiled at each other when playing through a tight spot as if to visually communicate: "Hell yeah, that sounded awesome!" Their comical stage antics kept their set more than just "look how fast I can play technical licks" - I was frequently reminded of Biohazard and Ra during their performance. Awaken the Empire clearly showed their Seattle roots. Their drummer even looked like a young Dave Grohl pounding those skins. Every single song was dripping with heart, and you could easily see they were playing from within. Truth be told they didn't exactly fit this bill, but they still put on an awesome show. While their Seattle roots were audible, I was also reminded of Course of Empire, NIN, and New Model Army - so they provided an "Alternative" twist to the other items on the menu for the night. The Family Ruin were so energetic. It was as if The Choir Boys, LA Guns, Disturbed, and Andrew WK produced a bastard child during an orgy at the Mad Max Thunderdome. Intense performance from these boys from across the pond. These guys kept your attention throughout their energetic set. Nonpoint. The best way to sum up Nonpoint's set is this: ON POINT! Everything about their performance was completely on point - completely killed it with every single song, got the audience involved with every opportunity, making us feel more like a part of the band than a bunch of sweaty headbanging sheep drones programmed to move in time with the downbeat. In fact, Elias brought out his young daughter at one point. The fact that he shared his family with the audience really made the audience connect even more.

10 Years put on a great show as did all of the three bands before them, Skytown Riot, Starset, and Islander. The venue wasn't packed so I was able to get right of front and see it all. They had a great time and sounded great. Would drive two hours for them again

    10 Years is the best

by ArkhamXero on 6/19/15Newport Music Hall - Columbus

This band brings the jams. They deserve so much more credit than they get. Local rock radio only plays their oldest single "Wasteland" but this band is so much more than that. Every show is special and they always bring their A-game. If you want to experience a band that really knows how to put on a show with their music, this is the right rock concert for you. If you are expecting dancing and teenage girls screaming, you probably wouldn't be reading this review anyway.

by benawhati2006 on 8/2/14A and R Music Bar - Columbus

Very good show at a very nice venue. The opening band was no good, but Crobot was much better then I was expecting, and 10 Years was great again.

    10 years made my night

by Kelseykittybear on 8/2/14A and R Music Bar - Columbus

I was so excited for the concert but ran into car trouble and was two hours late. Luckily the opening show was ending as i got to the music bar. We caught all of 10 years' show and it was amazing. Tey are the sweetest people and it made my night. I even got autographs and some guitar picks from the guitarists. The only issue was that the stage was a little small and it seemed that the music bar was over booked. There was no where for us to sit or stand.

10 years killed it live! I really appreciate them playing at such a small venue as A&R. Their sound was incredible and they really had the crowd into it. If u haven't seen 10 Years live yet, make sure u do next time!!

I admire them playing at such a small venue on a Sunday night in the middle of a larger venue tour. Classy group of guys. Played a good amount of older material that I originally discovered them on. Hope to see them again at a larger venue in Detroit.

10 YEARS- AN AMAZING LIVE BAND

    by ChefMichael57 on 5/28/14CHAMELEON CLUB - LANCASTER

The SICK PUPPIES and 10 YEARS where playing at the CHAMELEON CLUB. I was there to see the Puppies but I did my do diligence and researched 10 years which means listening to their records and catching a few of their videos. By the time I finished I was a fan. But seeing them live far exceeded my expectations JESSE HASEK proofed himself to be a showman of the highest caliber. This is an amazing live band! It has been my experience that when a band comes down from their apex and begins to descend its unusual for them to rise to the top again but 10 years was not a band going down- they have the energy and stage presence of a band that is hungry to regain the top and has the ability and focus to go higher than previously. I beleive!

One of the best acoustic shows I have ever seen!

by dannigirldfw on 3/25/14Trees - Dallas

I saw 10 Years do their acoustic set in Dallas Texas last night 3/24/14 and could not be happier. It's hard enough to do a decent live show but to do an acoustic one show and it be beyond fantastic, now that is talent. I would definately recommend this band whether it be acoustic or live to anybody!
