Fun, but the music could've been better!

by Queens of Country Music on 5/15/23Bogart's - Cincinnati

Through out the night iconic country music stars music videos played behind the DJ, and they did a fun balloon release. My friend, a few girls in the restroom and I agreed that there should have been more iconic and traditional 'queens of country' songs. Dolly Parton was used to advertise the party, but she played very little Dolly songs, maybe one or 2 songs of Reba- a lot of people were trying to make request and she would look at some request, but not others. Loretta Lynn had music videos playing on the big screen, but the DJ did not play her once. Overall we still had fun, and enjoyed our time. Would have just enjoyed more of the artist used to advertise the event, and ones deemed 'queens of country'.

    Dolly

by Jam on 5/15/23Bogart's - Cincinnati

Not anything what was expected. Not really anything to do with Dolly at all. DJ who played music and that’s it. Very disappointing

    More Dolly, please

by Reba on 5/8/23The Bluestone - Columbus

The event name changed after I bought my tickets, from the Dolly Parton Dance Party to “Fancy Queens of Country”. The event attendance was low and the music included more modern country and male artists than I’d expect from an event like this (especially from what I thought I was buying). It was billed as 90s country but included carrie underwood, taylor swift, and not nearly enough reba, dolly, trisha, wynona, etc.

    Meh

by Ashley on 4/24/23Music Farm - Charleston

The songs that *could* have been played weren’t. Honestly pretty disappointed. No disco and very minimal western/country. Not at all as advertised. Half of the songs were either the wrong era, or no one knew them. This had great potential- sadly it fell very short. Gimme Gimme Disco (ABBA) was 1000x more enjoyable.

    Spotify playlist..

by Alyssa on 4/17/23Summit - Denver

We thought that this party would be country songs remixed into dance/disco songs, but it was really just a spotify playlist with about 4 disco songs. The "DJ" wasn't doing anything but dancing around. The mix of songs was hard to dance to, a lot being too slow. Whenever the crowd was feeling the music the song would switch early, but when the crown was bored the song would finish to the end. I really think most wedding DJ's do a better job than this. We didn't have a bad time we just expected it to be a lot more fun

    Danced the night away

by Lexi on 4/11/23The Regent Theater - Los Angeles

The DJ was great at this event! She made good mixes and played all the hits of Dolly, disco and country. There was a good amount of people but there weren't too many as well which left plenty of room to dance and enjoy your time. The drinks were good and the staff was friendly. Would recommend this event to any Dolly lovers!!

    Such a fun time!

by Hokita on 3/13/239:30 CLUB - Washington

Such a fun dance party! I would definitely come back again for another Dolly themed dance party. The 930 club provided a great environment, all of the staff were super friendly, and the cost for the Dolly party was affordable. A fun girls night!

    Oversold

by Megan on 3/6/239:30 CLUB - Washington

The event itself was very fun and the DJ did a great job. But the venue was WAY oversold for the type of event. If you're expecting to have people dancing in groups, you can't pack the space as much as you can for a concert where people aren't moving around as much. It was beyond crowded and it was hard to enjoy yourself when you were getting legit shoved every few minutes. Wouldn't go back to another one of these.
