by sig on 11/4/21Walnut Street Theatre - PhiladelphiaShow is a musical review - not a musical play (neither comedic nor dramatic) - so not what I expected. Was hoping for more of a story, something akin to Memphis. Singing was fine & though I appreciated the focus on women singers of the 60s, some males adding backup would have been good. Theater entry was efficient; show started only a little late. View from front of balcony was perfect - but seating not so good for spouse's long legs, so we moved to empty roomier seats in last row center orchestra at intermission. Felt relatively safe though I did see some folks with masks with gaps at their cheeks & even at the nose. May wait a few more months before attending another indoor show.
