Stage show was incredible, the music was spot on and the crowd LOVED them! These guys sounded just like VH back in the day, the stage was rigged out with big speakers, Hammer Man tall banners flanking the drum riser and a huge VH Logo hanging in the back with the lion and sunglasses. Very cool! The experience was so much fun for us. The vocalist did Dave justice (and remembered the words!), the bassist and drummer were tight and on point, and he guitar player looked like Eddie from the Jump video and 1984 tour and sounded awesome as song after song was on full assault. Definitely can't wait to see these guys again! There was a Bon Jovi tribute "Let it Rock" that opened up for them, and they were VERY solid. They had the crowd singing along on so many songs and also did a full set. Both bands had it going on, and both bands far exceeded expectations. See them!!!
I bought tickets to see Van Halen Tribute. The time on the tickets was 7 PM. I took a closer look on Saturday afternoon before the show - "Doors Open at 7:00." OK, so I will see VHT at 8 PM? No. There was an opening act, which I didn't realize until they played the first song. The advertising didn't mention an opening act, the ticket didn't mention it. I was disappointed, but I figured the first band would play for an hour and I'd see VHT by 9:30. I had to leave by 10 PM to get to bed for my early Sunday morning responsibilities, but at least I'd see VHT for 30 minutes - that's at least 5 songs. Again, no. The opening band played for 90 minutes. When I needed to leave at 10 PM, it seemed like VHT was almost ready to come on stage. So, I paid for two premium tickets and never even saw the band on those tickets. I blame Live Nation for withholding critical information that would affect my purchase decision or let me know to reschedule my other activities.
