the singing was very good and the dancing was very good also! however, there was no "zing" or "sparkle" to Alex - no energy or dynamics! Nick did a great job and so did the three main girls -gloria and the two dancers. Just wish there was more energy!
I go to many performances and, unfortunately, this was not one of the better ones. : (. Maybe at a high school performance level. Neither singing or dancing was very good. Shouting rather than singing, jumping but not great dancing (except those doing the minor part of ballet). The main character in Jennifer Beales roll was not a good fit. You could not connect with her and just not a great dancer with forced, not fluid movement.
The dancing was off the hook! Alex was amazing! The water scene and then the What a Feeling ending were great, they gave me the chills they were so good! Fun if you are a fan of the movie!
The gentleman who played Nick was the best. He sang effortlessly
Boring. The leading actress, who played Alex didn't dance well at all. The storyline is lame, too long and too noisy.
The dancing in this show was awesome as well as the storyline.
Average at best. Certainly not worth the $130.00 ticket price. No connection with cast and audience. No chemistry between performers. Kept looking at my cell wondering how much longer!
I've been to high school productions that were much better than this. Choreography and voices were marginal. Storyline was boring - this musical just couldn't match the energy of the movie. I came to this with a group of friends and we all left at intermission.
Disappointed in the singing! The show seemed to be on the slow side. The 2 major scenes were downplayed!( Maniac and the audition)
If you are expecting a musical based on the movie and the hit music, you will be sorely disappointed as we were. The amateur leads were awful, performing live for the first time in the USA. The musical for some reason came up with 16 new songs, not one of which was worth listening to. The sets were weak as well. As a traveling show it certainly came off as "we're here to get your money and leave as quick as we can." Actually the audience is the ones that left as quick as they could. Half the audience left at intermission and so did we. One word: Awful.
My girlfriend and i went to see a musical for the first time ever. Wasnt my thing but i ended up enjoying it. She absolutely loved every secound. Overall was a pretty cool experience. They did a wonderful job!

Very disappointing, actually went home to watch the movie Flashdance to remember why I decided to purchase tickets. Wish I had seen a review before spending my money
The dancing was great, but anytime they weren't dancing was a drag. There was very little chemistry between the actors.

I had bought tickets because I knew my wife would enjoy it. She loved the show, actually I though it was good show too!
Flashdance touring company must have had a small pool of talent to pull their performers from. Female lead singer with leaden feet. Male lead singer a bit better (and he was cute,)

performers were not as strong as I expected and could not carry this somewhat weak show
show was fine. Actors sang and danced well but I don't know that this storyline translated t a musical well. It was ok. Glad I had a good ticket price.
