Riverdance announces its 30th Anniversary celebrations.
Since Riverdance first emerged onto the world stage, its fusion of Irish and international dance and music has captured the hearts of millions worldwide. The Grammy award-winning music and the infectious energy of its mesmerising choreography and breathtaking performances has left audiences in awe and established Riverdance as a global cultural sensation.
To celebrate this incredible 30th year milestone, Riverdance will embark on a special anniversary tour, bringing its magic to audiences around the world. This spectacular production rejuvenates the much-loved original show with new innovative choreography, costumes and state of the art lighting, projection and motion graphics. And for the first time Riverdance welcomes "The New Generation" of performers, all of whom were not born when show began 30 years ago.
John McColgan, Director of Riverdance said "It is both a privilege and a delight to celebrate 30 years of Riverdance and the unique journey it has taken us on. In those 30 years the show has transformed from a spectacle into a global cultural phenomenon - continuously evolving yet remaining true to its Irish roots. On this upcoming tour we look forward to welcoming 'The New Generation' of artists while paying tribute to the talented performers, creators, dedicated crew, and the millions of fans who have made Riverdance a worldwide celebration of music and dance."
Audiences will enjoy a unique and memorable performance which blends the traditional and the contemporary, showcasing the skill and passion of the world-class of dancers, musicians and singers in the Riverdance ensemble.
Composed by Bill Whelan. Produced by Moya Doherty. Directed by John McColgan.
Highly recommended! Incredible show, there wasn’t a moment where we were not impressed
I purchased 4 tickets 6 weeks prior and received confirmation several times. We were seated in the seats I bought when a lady came along and said she had season tickets for those seats. A jubilee admin had to relocate us which was quite stressful as the show was about to start.
They are awesome dancers singers musicians. Very entertaining. Loved everything they did .Took my grandchild which is eleven and she loved it . Would see them again .
This was a really great show. The dancing, singing, musicians, and technical effects were all outstanding. The addition of Spanish, and North American dancing added to the great Irish base.
The Irish sure know how to throw a party! The show was fantastic, I grew up with friends who Irish danced competitively and this was NOT your standard Irish dance! The dancers are beautiful, the AI/computer sets were amazing! And can we talk about THE MEN!!!! Phew! Wow! Handsome! And boy can they dance!
Show full of energy,,,,amazing Dance group. The movement of these dancers is so fluid.
I was apprehensive that the new RIVERDANCE generation's show performance and content would not live up to Michael Flatley's outstanding talent, but we were not dissatisfied. Great show, great talent and so professional. Thank you.
One of the best shows my wife and I have ever experienced, would see again when they return.
The music - the sound - the voices - a delightful experience. Bring your binoculars if you are not seated close to the stage.
This was an amazing show. I took my 7 year old great neice and she also loved it. It's worth every penny! I just didn't like the fact that people came late and we always had someone walking in front of us to get to their seats. So we constantly got interrupted and missed peices of the show . Something needs to be done about this.
