Very late and posthumous

Gordon in his 80's is not the Gordon from the yesteryears and that's not all bad. Mt wife and I have always enjoyed Gordon Lightfoot since the 70s but had never seen him in concert. Gordon was not the musical freight train of his past but still was Gordon the folk singer we came to see and hear and still Gordon Lightfoot the human. We greatly enjoyed the music and performance of Gordon and his group, and we enjoyed Gordon's storytelling. Unfortunately this was the last time we'd get to see him in concert. Thanks for a lifetime of great music...

Gordon, The Best of Ever.......
An amazing artist and performer! So sad to hear of your passing and I remember long ago, when I heard your song, 'If You Could Read My Mind'! It echoed, what I was experiencing, and it gave life to my predicament and allowed me to (simply) move on! Such are the issues of young men 'torn by lovers', but there are those 'wonderful' melodies? I loved your albums, and owned them all, here is a 'tribute' to one of the 'greatest' craftsman and songwriters that we all share in your awe-inspiring, exceptional work! God Bless You, Gordon!

Massey hall, Toronto
Gordon Lightfoot is a Canadian icon. To those who choose to demise his performances @ his age (80ish) and thinking you were going to get his (40ish) performance shame on you. We saw Gordon @ Massey Hall in Toronto when it reopen after a 143 million dollar renovation. His performance was outstanding in my humble opinion. Did he hit every note perfectly, no…was he off key from time to time, yes but he delivered every lyric with such grace and a profound in the moment presence. R.I.P Gord…..you made your mark….

Thank You.
Thank you for all the great songs. My childhood memories live in so many of them as my parents were huge fans and played your music constantly. I made them put Sundown and Carefree Highway on repeat numerous times. I even knew the words at an 8 year old kid. They even took me to a concert in 1974. Rest in peace. Your music will live with us forever

Not what you are hoping for
We went to see Gordon Lightfoot in concert several years ago and it was a massive disappointment. His voice is gone - nothing at all like his recordings. Be forewarned if you are going to spend the money for this. I'd enjoy going to hear about his stories on the road and the background stories of his songs but NOT for these ticket prices and the music is cringeworthy, if you can even hear his voice at all.

San Diego
I saw him in San Diego a few years ago with my son. The band was great. Gordon does not have the strength to be performing. Why he is still touring is a mystery to me.

Gordon Lightfoot Live
Club Regent Event Centre - Winnipeg
Attended Gordon Liightfoot concert on Sunday Oct. 30th in Winnipeg. The seats we had were terrific & the concert was great. I didn't think I would ever see him due to his age & didn't think he would come to Winnipeg. We thoroughly enjoyed the program & his terrific band. I found he didn't have the strong voice he use to have & was a little off key on some songs & I & they are a was not familiar with some of the songs he sang. That being said I enjoyed the concert & was so glad to be able to see him as we don't know how much longer he will be with us. I have his cds & vinyl & enjoy listening. to them. The concert was very organized, staff helpful & friendly. Was a terrific experience Thanks for a great evening

Mixed Feelings
Club Regent Event Centre - Winnipeg
It was so nice to see a full house at the recent Gordon Lightfoot concert in Winnipeg. The standing ovation honoured a wonderful songwriter and performer. However, it was also heartbreaking to see him in such poor health as he tried to perform some of his hit songs. It was often difficult to identify the tunes or even understand the words he was singing. Songs were shortened because of issues he was experiencing with his breathing. I am glad I attended the concert to pay tribute to one of my favourite performers but deeply saddened to witness his declining health and ability to perform.

GORDON LIGHTFOOT IN CONCERT:
Legendary singer-songwriter and folk-pop pioneer Gordon Lightfoot helped define the sound of '60s folk with his rootsy voice and politically-minded songs. A half a century later, Lightfoot continues to be a beacon of authenticity, taking the stage with little more than a mic and his trusty twelve-string guitar to deliver no-frills renditions of laid-back, wide-eyed classics like "Sundown" and "Sit Down Young Stranger." Joined by a talented band of backing players for his upcoming tour, Lightfoot will lead fans on a golden-toned stroll down memory lane.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Ontario-born Gordon Lightfoot got an early start in music, performing in church choirs during his youth and making his first appearance at Toronto's historic Massey Hall at just age 12. After teaching himself folk guitar in high school, Lightfoot spent some time in Hollywood studying jazz and orchestration before moving back to Toronto in 1960 and cutting his teeth in the city's coffee house music scene. Regional early-'60s hits like "Remember Me (I'm the One)" and "Negotiations" helped build his reputation as a songwriter, and before long a variety of high-profile artists -- including Elvis Presley and Peter, Paul, and Mary -- were recording versions of his songs. His biggest success as a solo artist came in the '70s, when he topped Canadian charts with four albums and scored his first US No. 1 with 1974's "Sundown." With 19 studio albums and more than five decades' worth of touring under his belt, Lightfoot brings plenty of experience with him on the road as he sets out for another round of tour dates.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKET SAY:

"Great show ! Loved having the chance to hear all those wonderful hits sung with all the
feeling they were recorded with."
"Gordon Lightfoot was amazing! He played all the classics and many other gems. Mr. Lightfoot was witty, light-spirited, and very humble with his fans. The accompanying band was wonderful as well."
