A good teaching/educational way to teach.

    by 19grams59 on 6/29/11Oracle Arena - Oakland

While I thought the show was entertaining and was teaching good eating habits, I don't think the venders should be selling cotton candy and other junk food during the intermission (Although I understand why). I also think that since this is a family/childrens show alcohol (beer) should not be sold either. This sends a double message, and to me defeats the purpose of the show. There is an appropriate time and place to do this, but not at a family/children's event.

My 3 year old enjoyed it, but primarily because she got to see Elmo, Grover and Cookie Monster. Overall I would say a disappointment, poorly produced and not worth the $$. Spent $80 for 2 tickets, $25 to park, $10 for an Elmo baloon and $6.50 for a bottled water. It's unbelievable that at a Sesame Street show based on healthy eating it was actually impossible to find a single healthy snack available at the concession stands. Prices we ridiculous for what I would consider a high-school quality production.

    Priceless reactions to Elmo !!

    by 3bears on 6/29/11Oracle Arena - Oakland

We took our 18 mo. old daughter to see Sesame Street Live and we all loved it!! The show kept her attention the entire time. She was dancing, clapping, and smiling ear to ear. We sat in the second row and even shook hands with a few characters. Next time we will splurge on the vip package. To see our daughter's face light up and be so engaged in the show was simply priceless. Already looking for another show to attend.

This was a grand production, much more than we had expected. My 3 yr. old grandson was absolutly riveted to the nicely paced production, it was very entertaining, fun & had a great message about eating good food & being clean & healthy. Great show!!!!!

    Sesame Street rocks!

by 2kcs on 6/29/11HP Pavilion At San Jose - San Jose

Took our 17 month old and she loved it! She is a big fan of Sesame Street and I wasn't sure if she was going to tolerate the characters in real life, but she was estatic. She sat through the entire show as well. The show was also entertaining for the adults and was not too childish or annoying. Overall, we loved it! Btw, took my husband and he also survived the entire show. That should explain a bit.

21 month old had a great time!

by AsaRockMom on 6/28/11Oracle Arena - Oakland

My daughter was in shock at first, seeing all her favourite characters, live and so big. Once the music, singing, and dancing started she was so excited!! She didn't understand the story, but it was entertaining enough to hold her attention and keep her n her seat. The only thing I didn't like was that they had a man come out during intermission with a bunch of Elmo balloons. All the kids got excited and ran up front, a bit chaotic, and also a bit of a money-gauging tactic. The show itself though, I would recommend. My daughter may not remember this event, but her dad and I will.

    Overall, Elmo was Great!!

by twinsdaddy on 6/28/11Oracle Arena - Oakland

Well, my only criticism was that the extra monies spent for the pre-show photo shoot was not really worth it. Two characters came out (Bert & Ernie), and it was very structured with little to any interaction as folks just sat, waiting their turn to be photographed. There should have been other activities going on, and more characters for the cost. On the other side, we had front row seats, right near where the stairs come down from the stage. So location, location, location was a big piece as some of the characters walked right in front of us. The timing seemed good, as the boys began to get a bit distracted, but the intermission and walking around a bit helped for the second half.

    A family favorite

by Bellflowermom on 6/28/11Oracle Arena - Oakland

The show itself was awesome. My little one stayed awake the whole show despite her naptime. I was a little surprised at the ticket price and even more surprised at the lacking attendance. The auditorium wasn't even 1/4 full. Still glad we went though. Great family outing.

This show wasn't as good as the last 4 I have taken my granddaughter to. Of course she enjoyed it but I could see a difference from the others.

Lots of fun but very laud for kids

by MamaLuci on 6/27/11Oracle Arena - Oakland

My 16 month-old, my husband and I had a great time. I'm not giving it five stars, first because of the audio. It was really laud even for adults. It made my son scared in the beginning of the show. And I was concerned for his hearing. And second, the air conditioning was very strong. Fifteen minutes after the show started the temperature went down quite fast. And considering outside was nice and warm a lot of kids n adults were not prepared for the "winter" inside. Glad I was...

4 year old daughter loved it

    by Vince097987977 on 6/27/11Oracle Arena - Oakland

My daughter enjoyed it which is what is important. Really small turnout for something hosted at Oracle Arena. Show was great. We sang along to Old MacDonald and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I don't really follow Sesame Street, but I couldn't figure out why there were only 4 characters in the Fabulous 5 Team, seemed odd but my daughter did not notice anything off. Definitely recommend. There were some older kids, maybe 6 or 7 years old, I saw that really enjoyed it too.

    Expected More

    by Aum2985 on 6/27/11Oracle Arena - Oakland

The storyline of the show was average, I did expected more. My nieces had a good time and that's all that matters. The characters did go into the aisles more often than last year, and all the children enjoyed getting to touch their favorite character. I must say it did get quite cold in the arena.

Good show.Expensive, wish i got more for my $$$$

by jazzycupcake on 6/27/11Oracle Arena - Oakland

The show was really cute, however my two year old got a little bored the 2nd half. We purchased 2 tickets for $75 dollars each which included a character meet and greet and photo shoot. The characters were Ernie and Bert. The only 2 my daughter didn't really care for. We did get front row seats which was so cool.some of the characters were extremely friendly and interacted with the kids.Overall it was a good show and my daughter loved the attention from the characters. I loved watching her have such a goodtime. I just think that for $150 we shoulda got a little more.

    Great Children Musical

by MissBeebe on 6/27/11Oracle Arena - Oakland

This show was great! The interaction with the cast and the audience was superb. My 2.5 year old granddaughter couldn't stop telling her parents about it. Her favorite character was Glitter Girl who she calls Little Girl. She got a hug from Cookie Monster but wasn't shy about dancing in the aisle with the cast, either. I would like to see more of this type of entertainment for the young children.
