This was a great concert for both kids and adults alike. They do a great job of hitting all the big songs that kids like and working in some that the parents like too. The concert was just a touch over an hour. My 4 1/2 year old daughter shook her booty the entire time. We loved that all the guys came out into the audience and gave the kids high fives. I will say, I have an issue with the Meet and Great after costing more than the tickets themself so, we passed on that. We would go again in a heartbeat. Plus, we love Scott's new hair!!!
Great show my daughter loved them and had such a wonderful time! I also had a great time. They sounded great and really got the crowd going. Would see them again!
This is the best kids concert we've been to, and we've done Yo Gabba Gabba, Sesame Street and others. The guys were kinetic, really driving the show, and were constantly out in the aisles, willing to pose for a picture or hand our kid the mike. She was thrilled and even the parents were having a good time. The Movers know how to put on a show!
Great time my daughter had lots of fun and the guys were friendly and rocked the house
The Imagination Movers ALWAYS put on the best show. They not only get the kids involved, they get the parents involved as well. Their shows are very entertaining and so much fun. My 4 year old daughter had a blast. We can't wait for their next show!!!
highly enjoyed the concert. the Imagination Movers rock!
My family loves the Movers. We all rock out to their tunes. Our son definitely enjoyed the show. We all did. He especially loved when each Mover came out into the audience. He got to fist bump Scott and high five Dave. Those were definite highlights. The only reason we did not give a rating an amazing mark is the sound quality seemed a little off. It was particularly hard to understand Rich. We were in section D row 8, not sure about the acoustics in the Pontchartrain Center. We are grateful the Archdiocese put this show together, but I would also like to make one suggestion. As a mother and teacher, 1:00pm is not the ideal time for this age group to attend a concert. It's nap time. There were many cranky and tired children. Even our little man at 4 1/2 as excited as he was wore out quickly and expressed that he was tired in the middle of the show.
The Guys were greaty as usual!! We loved Scott's new haircut! Didn't recognize him at first!. They played well, and was the drummer really a priest or did we hear wrong, cause he could ROCK! The music was up to date and enjoyable, but only two or three pieces from the show. We were disappointed by that. Our almost 3 year old grandson likes the move it songs best! overall great presentation and loved the guys sharing in the audience and playing with the children!!!! Only bad spot-- music waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy too loud. We had to place toweling in all our ears just to not have pain. That's saying something for my husband who has some hearing damage!
My kids have loved the Movers for years. Last time they were in the New Orleans area, though, I felt the boys were a little too young to really enjoy the show. We made SURE to catch them this time--especially after watching the concert we missed out on play on the Disney Channel. I wish we had never seen the Disney Channel concert. It gave me very high expectations going into this show, and I was left somewhat disappointed. Now that the Movers' show was cancelled, they seem to be losing touch with their kid audience. We went to hear the Imagination Movers' music, and we got mostly that, but also a Phillip Phillips song, and a couple other "pop" covers. I understand their budget for the stage design is no longer what it used to be when they were with Disney, and they didn't have the other show characters like Nina and Knit Knots, but I was still very disappointed with what we got, when we were expecting such a better experience. I still gave the show an overall rating of 4 stars, because for what it was, it was very enjoyable, but in comparison to what I was expecting, I would give it 3 stars.
The acoustics of the venue, The Pontchartrain Center, were horrible. The show was pitifully produced. Compared to the concert that was televised by Disney Channel, this show was lacking. Stage was plain and dull. Song selection was bad, the kids didn't recognize the modern cover songs the band did...the kids wanted to hear the songs from the TV show. The bands 'back and forth' between songs was hard to understand and lacked emotion and effort. Where was Nina? The show started late. It appeared to be more of a "Mover Rich" showing off event than an Imagination Movers Concert. My kids have not asked to watch the Movers TV show since the concert, when they use to ask to watch it every day.
We brought our 3 year old daughter and spent almost $100 for tickets. About 10 minutes into the show, the music was so loud she was terrified and we had to leave. We love the imagination movers but will leave it to on the television. Wastes over $100 between tickets, souvenirs, and food. Was there for about 10 minutes after the actual show started. And she spent about the last 5 minutes or so by the door after a potty break
My boys had a great time at the Imagination Movers concert at the Ponchatrain Center! It was our family fun ! The movers Dave, Rich, Scott, and Smitty put on a lively entertaining show!! They came out into to crowds and met with so many children there. It was a wonderful 1st concert experience for our children.
Really great kid friendly entertainment. The guys are very interactive with the audience and go out of their way to shake hands and take pics with the kids. Show lasts a little more than an hour which is perfect because most of the kids we saw (including our own) were starting to meltdown right at the end. Overall great show.
Awesome concert my boys are three and five and they loved it
I had seen them once before the kids loved it & they were even better this time. The keep the audience involved.
The Movers we're amazing! They always put on a great show!
Had a great time. Kids danced the whole show. Very entertaining and family friendly.
This was our 4th Movers concert and 4th venue. The Meet & Greet was exceptional, as always. The boys in blue are such great people and it shows that they enjoy spending time with their little fans (and the parents as well). The concert was fabulous! Great music. Mover's in the audience to thrill their fans. The only bad thing I could say about it was the food/drink hawkers during the show were very annoying.
Fun for both parents & kids! Would definitely see them again. The whole family had a great time!
