Wayne Newton is a singer and entertainer from Norfolk, Virginia. Over the course of his decades-long career, Newton has become synonymous with the glitz and glamor of the Strip, earning the nickname “Mr. Las Vegas.” Getting his start in the 1950s, the then-teen singer was mentored by superstars like Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and Bobby Darin. Some of his best-known songs include “Danke Schoen,” “Red Roses for a Blue Lady” and “Daddy, Don’t You Walk So Fast.” By 1963, he had become a headliner at the Flamingo in Las Vegas and worked his way to being named the highest-grossing act in Sin City history. Through the 1990s, Newton headlined shows at Caesars Palace, MGM Grand Las Vegas and Bally’s before signing a 10-year contract in 1999 as the first-ever headliner-in-residence at the Stardust Resort and Casino — though the deal was cut short in 2005 as a result of the venue’s demolition. In 2016, Newton performed his lounge show Up Close & Personal at Bally’s, followed by his 2019 stint at Caesars Palace to celebrate his 60th year on stage. In 2024, Newton will embark on his Up Close and Personal Tour.

Wayne Newton was amazing! He radiates happiness and the show was so fun to see. Would definitely love to see him again next time we are in Vegas.
We saw him 50 years ago and really enjoyed his show. I think we appreciated this show because we had seen him before. Time has taken away from his voice but his sincere personality and showmanship are very good.
Mr. Las Vegas indeed! I absolutely loved this show - Wayne Newton was charming, funny, genuine and told some fantastic stories. His voice is not what it used to be, but it doesn't matter. If you love old Hollywood / Old Vegas and the tales that go along with it, this is the show. Entertainer extraordinaire!!
Wayne Newton is a fantastic show! Wayne performs songs and plays several instruments. He says that he can play 25 different instruments. Wayne takes you on a journey of his life and when he started performing with his brother in Las Vegas in 1959. He shows old footage of some of his performances with people like Glenn Campbell and Sammie Davis Jr. He tells stories and shows footage of Jack Benny, Elvis, Sinatra, Martin and many others. Wayne is a great entertainer and storyteller. This is a great show!
This was my fourth time seeing Wayne in the past 40 years. He is still the great showman he always was. He sings less and is of course older but he is so well spoken and entertaining he is well worth the money if you want to experience Classic Las Vegas. Strangely the does look and sound better than any YouTube clips posted recently - don’t know why this is. Met him after the show. He is so gracious and appreciative of his fans. As long as there is Wayne in Vegas I will be coming down to spend my money.
My wife and I loved the show. From the opening song, we told each other that Mr. Newton still has it together and that we would recommend the show to everyone. The only disappointment was that when he recognized members of the armed forces, he did not acknowledge veterans. Active and retired military, police, firefighters, and any first responders but not veterans. As a disabled Vietnam-era veteran, I was a little taken aback. Maybe it was just an oversight.
Wayne did a great job and interacting with the crowd, singing and showing his amazing nostalgic videos of himself and super stars friends.
He is an amazing entertainer. Been doing this for so many years he has perfected his craft. The best part was when i got to meet and greet with him was totally enjoyable. We chatted and took a few pics. and i started walking away. he called me back to take more pics while hugging me was totally floored. Cant wait to see him again. Hopefully he will still be in Vegas this year in October. had an amazing time.
A really good retrospective of his long career, and the amazing talent he has still
Loved every minute of our experience! Highly recommend!
What an incredible walk down memory lane featuring this Legend! Go see this show if you have ever wanted to see someone that truly inspired the great American spirit. Wayne Newton is the GOAT!
My husband and I enjoyed the show very much. Not a bad seat in the house. Wayne sang, played instruments, talked about his career and even showed video clips and pictures of his life and career. It was interesting and fun to see and hear about different events in his career and life. I've seen him a few times and this was different but I was pleasantly surprised! The show was great!
This was my second time seeing Wayne Newton. About 5 years apart. This time however I was so immersed in him and his story. I was uplifted, laughed till I cried and cried when emotions pulled at my heartstrings. I left on a beautiful and natural high…would I go again if I ever get back to the USA? Absolutely.
Went in expecting a good time. Had the best time. Wayne Newton’s stories were tremendous. He shared his life and music. He told about his relationships with the most iconic musicians of the 20th century. One of the most enjoyable nights I’ve had.
Thinking of doing something purely Vegas? This show is fantastic! Wasn't sure what to expect but Wayne Newton was better than I could have imagined. The room at the Flamingo was intimate and it felt really old school being there seeing a legendary performer. Wayne was engaging, in good voice, and just made the whole trip through his career special even for a fan who maybe didn't know the whole catalog. I found myself smiling all night and was actually disappointed when it was over (albeit it was a solid 85 minute show). If you want a performer leaving you wanting more, Wayne did it. Highly recommend this show. The price was reasonable. The entertainment was exceptional. Thank you Wayne!
Loved it! It wasn’t just a concert, it was such an amazing presentation. Listening to him talk about stories from back in the day. Watching him watch old clips and seeing his face light up as he remembered everything. Loved it ❤️
I’m so glad I went to see Wayne Newton. He shared his personal story from childhood all the way through his career growth. I loved the video history he shared with the audience. Amazing man and great talent.
Wayne Newton gave a history of his music highlights with song, video clips and stories. It’s no wonder his career has lasted so long with all his musical talent and charisma. Plays a few of the 13 instruments he knows how to play. Small theater so you really did feel up close and personal. If your looking for the show that warms your heart from years past this is the show!
Great story telling but his ability to sing is not there anymore.
I thoroughly enjoyed the concert that he performed. The stories were fun to hear, the questions were good to hear answers to. However, I would have loved to hear more Christmas songs too. For a man of his age, he did very good!
