Show was fun, Venue is terrible
The Vogel at Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red Bank
Was our first time going to this theater. We had to park several blocks away which i figured would happen. It is Red Bank. Getting into the venue was not a problem. Security was efficient. They scanned our tickets on our phone and in we went. I have to say, if they dont have floor seats available DO NOT bother. The "balcony"is tiny circular tables with 4 chairs crowded together and you can barely see. Most of the people just moved the tables out of the way and put chairs up to the railing but theres not enough room for all the chairs. I spent the first half of the show only able to see 1/4 of the stage and people's heads and shoulders. Even people seated against the railing had to lean forward and adjust to be able to see. My wife complained to the manager who allowed us to move downstairs as long as it was to one of the outer chairs against the wall. She also gave us free drink vouchers. We were both able to see the entirety of the second act without having to look over other people's shoulders, around their heads, or hang over a railing. Other than that the show was fun. The performers did a great job. They sprayed blood all over people and the crowd was laughing and having a great time. Its a shame the theater itself is very basic, very old, and poorly set up. I was expecting more from Red Bank.

Hilarious!
The Vogel at Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red Bank
This is the second time I went to this show, but this production was a bit less fun then the first. The man playing Ash had a less powerful singing voice, there were audio issues and the gratuitous volumes of blood spray was more of a trickle. Despite the faults, the cast was hilarious and fun, including Ash who nailed the lines and even ad-libbed from audience input with perfect timing. The venue was definitely meant for a small concert and it made it feel more like a community theatre act, but I would be happy to go again.

Right up there with the Original Off Broadway
The Vogel at Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red Bank
Phoenix did a great job with this production from casting to set design. I've seen multiple productions over the years and they knocked it out of the house . Kudos to the cast

Wonderfully bloody good time
John, James and Clara Knight Stage - Akron
I loved the show! The venue was smaller than I anticipated, however the whole crew, from set design, tech, direction, to the actors all did wonderful! I loved the added blood cannon crew for the finale.

Never sit in the Vogel “Balcony”
The Vogel at Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red Bank
Worst venue ever. Couldn’t see a thing from the so-called balcony seats. Those were not balconies, those are a bunch of tables set up alongside a railing and if you didn’t get there early enough, you were going to sit behind everyone else and not see anything whatsoever. And even if you did get there early and got the better seat, you were still obstructed. There’s no way to enjoy your show when you can’t see anything after paying good money for seat thats were mischaracterized as being good seats, with no warning your view would be obstructed. What bull hockey. The cast sang well, but I couldn’t tell anything else.
