About

Over the course of his more than 50-year career, guitar legend Eric Clapton has covered an immense amount of ground. Along with dozens of album releases and concerts worldwide, he’s received three Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductions — one for his solo career and two more as a member of both Cream and the Yardbirds. He’s also earned an unofficial spot high on the list of best rock guitarists of all time.

Though his eponymous solo debut surfaced in 1970, Clapton’s solo career took off in the mid-‘70s with “461 Ocean Boulevard” and its now-ubiquitous single, “I Shot the Sheriff.” The English performer has since released 19 more solo sets, most recently “Old Sock.” That 13-track collection features mostly covers, as well as guest appearances by several established musicians, including J.J. Cale, Paul McCartney, Chaka Khan and Steve Winwood.

Clapton’s numerous tours - both alone and with his many projects — have canvased the globe, with tickets selling out regularly at iconic venues like London’s Royal Albert Hall and New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

    An outstanding experience!

by Charles on 9/26/23Crypto.com Arena - Los Angeles

So many fantastic artists who used the opportunity to display their outstanding talents. Some were new to me (Samantha Fish, H.E.R and others) that it gives us hope for future of guitar playing as a valuable performing art. While we can all appreciate that a hockey arena has its limitations in terms of sound quality, there is so much experience out there by now, that it is inexcusable to have muddy, badly mixed sound in a show of this calibre. The deterioration of sound on Saturday starting mainly with War on Drugs (excessive drumming drowing out vocals) lost this review a star. But the show wowed us all with so many fine performances that I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Kudos to Eric and company for providing a platform for all these artists to collaborate and entertain "our socks off"as Bill Murray put it so well. That thousands of us would sit in an arena for 8 hours at a stretch to listen to music is a testament to the quality of the talent on display.

    Sat night at Crossroads 2023

by CA girl on 9/26/23Crypto.com Arena - Los Angeles

Concert was outstanding! I had never heard of Judith Hill and she rocked the house. She is the whole package! Great guitarist, singer and songwriter. If you have not heard of her put her name in on You Tube and listen. The whole concert was great, loved how Eric came out and played with so many of the bands.

    Good - but disappointed

by TB on 9/26/23Crypto.com Arena - Los Angeles

Excited when saw tickets available- loved the line up. Went on Saturday ( first night) . Disappointed that GCJ only got 7 minutes but at least got to see him again. Biggest disappointment was Eric did not have a set- he did play on a couple songs with other artists but nothing on his own as he did on Night 2. End of the night was just strange - no joint finale song-no one coming out to say "Goodnight- thanks for supporting the cause"or anything like that.

    Great Show, Great Cause

by Phil on 9/26/23Crypto.com Arena - Los Angeles

Had a terrific time. Music, Food, Vendors all outside the event from 9 am till 3 pm. When the doors opened for the main event. Which ran from a little after 4 pm till almost Midnight. Nonstop live music. Eric Clapton, Joe Bonamassa, greats I'd never seen. That blew me away. Judith Hill, was phenomenal. Every artist top notch. Loved it.

    Great Guitar and Show

by LN on 9/26/23Crypto.com Arena - Los Angeles

This concert was made for me…guitar and lots of it! A couple of the performers I had not heard of but am now a fan looking for some of their other music. Some I’m familiar with and they didn’t disappoint and some I had heard of but never listened to them. I can’t wait until the next and hope I can make it! Sunday was much more layback and never seemed to get going like Saturday but still beautiful guitar music.

    Just awesome

by Lost Wombat on 9/26/23Crypto.com Arena - Los Angeles

Amazing lineup, brilliantly executed and a fantastic cause. The odd sound glitch but hey, the whole production team did an amazing job putting this together in what would have been a very challenging environment. Congratulations to everyone involved in putting on such a fantastic musical experience.

A world-class rock and roll experience!

by gbolmgren on 9/26/23Crypto.com Arena - Los Angeles

This two-day Guitar Festival has become a tradition for my son and myself to attend since the 2010 festival. This year's event seems like it could be Eric Clapton's last one due to his advancing age, yet you would never know he is a 78-year-old man with neuropathy and hearing-loss. The concert was an ongoing progression of super-star after super-star performing at the highest level with a sprinkling in of younger talent on the rise. Of course, the surprise of Stevie Wonder playing with Eric playing "Crossroads"was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. My appreciation for acts like H.E.R., "Kingfish"Ingram, Marcus King, Gary Clark, Jr. and Eric Gale grew even greater after this year's event. The inclusion this year of classic artists like Steven Stills, Roger McGuinn, and of course, Carlos Santana made this a spectacle of the century. I had a few teary-eyed moments when I realized the importance of this festival and how a concert of this magnitude may never happen again. Sharing this experience my son is always special since he is a graduate of the Crossroads Treatment Center in Antigua and has met Eric Clapton there in 2008. Recovery is a long road, a never-ending journey, so here we are in 2023 counting each day together as a huge blessing! Thank you, Eric Clapton for your tireless efforts on behalf of people in need of recovery is a legacy that will last long after your life on this earth has ceased. But until that time, keep creating music and sharing it with all of us. Lots of love.

    Needed More Clapton

by CC on 9/26/23Crypto.com Arena - Los Angeles

Lots of amazing artists and guitar skills. This was a “guitar geeks” kind of concert. There were many people who I didn’t know and the ones I did, only played for 15 mins or less. Clapton sat in with a few but no songs from his large discography of hits— no Cream, Blind Faith, Layla, I Shot the Sheriff, nothing. Enjoyed the concert, and it was for a good cause, but overall not what I expected.

    Over the Top!

by Kymmie on 9/26/23Crypto.com Arena - Los Angeles

This was a bucket list experience with over the top performances from the greatest guitar entertainers in existence today! I was so excited to experience this festival to see some of my favorites I've never seen live before, even Bill Murray, who I grew up watching on SNL and in movies! it was truly amazing to be a part of this event - thank you!

    Could have been better.

by Harborbomber on 9/26/23Crypto.com Arena - Los Angeles

Attended both days. Day 1, undercard over ran early program. John Mayer Trio was cut short (3songs) and ZZ Top was too short. Whom ever was directing sound should find a new job. Vocals were overshadowed by instruments, blaring at times. Only Clapton’s and ZZ’s performances were better. I’ve been to many Clapton concerts and the music was clear and vocals were audible.

    Bucket List Event

by Vette_Traveler_TN on 9/26/23Crypto.com Arena - Los Angeles

Without a doubt the greatest concert I have ever attended. My wife and I went all in for this event, and stayed downtown for both nights. Amazing selection of artists that all brought their A-Game. Witnessing Eric Clapton in Concert was a life-long dream. Artists such as Joe Bonamassa, Eric Gales, and Robert Randolph play Foxy Lady was such a treat. The future of blues music is bright with those 3 performers, along with Kingfish Ingram and Samantha Fish... Could not be happier with this event, or the facility. Crypto.COM arena knows how to run an efficient, friendly event!

Many great performances. Most were far (far) too loud. Like steady 90-100 decibels. For 7-8 hours. Why?

    95% Awesome But

by OSJ on 9/26/23Crypto.com Arena - Los Angeles

The first day was absolutely perfection and although we loved Dallas crossroads, this was much better. The organized stage change kept things rolling along with the corner acts keeping the music going. Sunday was good but could not compete except for a few like Marcus King, Gary Clark, Jr. ,Sheryl Crow and Eric Clapton. Eric you should have closed it out because that mess at the end left us with a huge disappointment and ear damage. Kudos to James Bullard, Eric Gales, as they were new excitement for me. We missed Derek Trucks, but Sonny, Albert and others were awesome!
