About

“The best show in town!” shouts NPR.

Hailed by Time Magazine as “Musical Theatre Gold!”, BULLETS OVER BROADWAY is the hilarious musical comedy about the making of a Broadway show.

Written by Woody Allen, with original direction and choreography by Susan Stroman and based upon the screenplay of the acclaimed film by Woody Allen and Douglas McGrath, BULLETS OVER BROADWAY is the story of a young playwright who, in desperate need of financial backing for his next show, accepts an offer he can’t refuse from a mobster looking to please his showgirl girlfriend.

Don’t miss what the New Yorker exclaims as “a Fun Machine from Start to Finish!” Loaded with big laughs, colorful characters, and the songs that made the '20s roar, Bullets Over Broadway is bringing musical comedy back with a bang.

Bullets over Broadway was a great show. If you are new to the theater or have a someone in your life that is not sure they will enjoy live theater this is the one to cut your teeth on. This show was funny from beginning to end and an interesting story everyone will enjoy.

    Don't waste your time

by regularmusicalgoer on 5/8/16Peabody Opera House - St. Louis

I probably should have reviewed the story more thoroughly before I went. A true (sexual, perverse) Woody Allen show. Half of the show was sex jokes. The lead actress whose character was supposed to be annoying was completely unbearable. The production quality was only slightly better than a high school show. The sound was awful and the singers couldn't be heard above the orchestra, even after we requested the mic levels be turned up. If you're expecting a feel-good show, reminiscent of classic broadway, this is NOT a show to see.

    Amazingly awful!

    by musicallover2244 on 4/19/16Orpheum - St Paul

I can't believe I bought eight tickets to this show. The acting was fine (some even good). It's everything else that was awful. The story was not interesting or engaging. The jokes were juvenile or offensive (with a few obscenities thrown in for no good reason). The songs were completely forgettable. The finale was ridiculous and totally disconnected to the rest of the show. I seriously almost left in the middle of the second act. I couldn't even stand to stay through the curtain call. Why this ever became a touring production I will never understand.

    Bullets Over Broadway outstanding

by TravelingTooma on 3/22/16Pensacola Saenger Theatre - Pensacola

I took my daughter in law and we had a great time. Our view was a little blocked when the cast was on the far right side of the stage. The acoustics at the Saenger Theater were nice. Voices were beautiful and strong. The tap dance sequence was a nice surprise and one of our favorite scenes. Great job!

Bullets over Broadway was terrible. Ridiculous music. Poor dancing and weak voices. A real bad selection for Broadway League. Won't attend any others.

    Fantastic Music and dancing!

by dakotajude on 3/4/16Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

The show combines humor which adds to the storyline. Brings back memories of the shows filled with tap dancing and song! Well worth seeing!

    Disappointing

by steffiec on 2/10/16Paramount Theatre - Seattle

The performances were fine, but the vehicle was very weak. The play wasn't particularly amusing or interesting. We regretted attending.

Loved the music, choreography & cast. Such a large cast for a touring production! Well done.
