Acting, singing and dancing was fantastic
The show was well put together. The acting and singing were superb. The dancing was awesome. The lighting left much to be desired. It is as if the lights were set for some other show and they tried to make them work for this show. The soundd was not great. There were times when the mics were not on when they needed to be. Some could use some adjustments. Some actors needed to have mics but did not. Costumes and sets were real nice, and scene changes were really fast and done as part of the show. Over all a very nice job, just need a little more tech rehearsal.

Delightful, Delicious, Delovely!!
Can't stop RAVING about Rubber City Theatre's production of "Anything Goes"at the Goodyear Theater! Top notch cast, orchestra, set, lighting and sound design!! I have seen many productions of Anything Goes in my life and this was by FAR the best I have ever seen! The show was so well paced that two and a half hours FLEW by and the choreography was electric! BRAVO to the entire company and production team!!

A Wonderful Performance
I'm a long-time season subscriber to the Cleveland Broadway Series. Anything Goes is one of my favorites from the Broadway series. So, when it was announced that it was going to be performed in the Akron Goodyear Theater I immediately got tickets. The Rubber City Theater group did a wonderful performance of this play. Anything Goes is a musical romantic comedy. The cast all performed exceptionally. The male and female leads all had exceptional voices and acted very well. I'm sure that I will see additional performances by this theater group. Additionally, The Goodyear Theater is a great venue for plays and concerts.

Very enjoyable revival
Warner Theater - Washington, D.C.
I saw this revival of Anything Goes at the Warner Theater for the second time in D.C. in February, and I really enjoyed it. It had played with a different cast at the Kennedy Center about two years previously (that was an Equity show versus this non-Equity show.) Generally, I felt a lot of this cast was actually better than the KC cast, particularly in their dancing abilities. The shows were actually tailored to the stars, the Reno in the KC production was a better singer, the Reno here was a better dancer (she was probably closer to how the show was tailored for Sutton Foster when the revival opened in New York). I thought the men in this cast, lead and supporting parts, were pretty much better up and down the line (particularly the Billy and the Moon Face). The orchestra was smaller here, the set was almost the same, and there were fewer dancers in the chorus, but still very well done. The simple truth of the matter is, Anything Goes is a very entertaining musical, and with a good solid cast and production, you will have a very enjoyable evening at the theater.

Leads Lacked Pizzaz
Warner Theatre - Washington
Choreography was excellent. I was wowed by the dance sequences ending the first act and starting he second. The entire ensemble was really good, in particular the supporting leads. However, while I was delighted with Ms Stratton's dancing ability, I was less taken with her portrayal of Reno Sweeney. There was no blowsy attack to her acting or singing as a madame of some renown. Similarly, it was difficult to accept Mr Krinsky as the dashing player all the ladies fall for. I assume the two leads were chosen for their dancing and singing abilities because of the obvious demands of the show. While their dancing was superb, their interpretation of the lyrics lacked the "pop' that I believe Cole Porter wrote into the music. I would recommend it to a friend simply because one should experience Porter on stage, especially those great dance sequences. A final note: the lighting crew needs rehearsals as well.

They don't make shows like Anything Goes! anymore
Warner Theatre - Washington
My wife and I didn't have high expectations attending a two-day run of a musical from 1934 on a weeknight, but early into the first act, we were both enthralled! The singing, the staging, and the dancing were captivating; the cast was exceptional. I counted four whole-cast tap routines (including the famous "anything goes" interlude). It was a toe-tapping, knee-slapping awesome time at the theater. I highly recommend!
