Chevelle on Tour
Chevelle is the understated musical powerhouse who have continually delivered rock anthems for the past 24 years. 7 number one hits, 17 songs reaching the top 10 charts, over 4 million records sold in the USA and many more world wide. Platinum and gold albums across their 8 studio records and successful live CD and two live DVD releases completes their extensive body of work to date. It's all credit to their continuing dedication to be true to their craft, the genre and their fans. Chevelle's last two album releases, La Gargola and The North Corridor, both debuted #1 on the Billboard rock charts at #3 and #8, respectively, on the Billboard top 200 charts. With no signs of this Chicago alternative rock trio slowing down any time soon, their numerous chart topping releases have certainly earned this band a place in American rock music history.
After more than two decades together, numerous releases, and countless world wide tours, the outfit consisting of brothers Pete Loeffler [guitars, vocals], Sam Loeffler [drums], and brother in-law Dean Bernardini [bass, vocals] have confidently sailed through decades of uncharted waters and have emerged with a collection that's equally intricate and intimate.
Certainly it builds upon the group's impressive foundation, including the 2002 platinum-selling genre staple Wonder What's Next and the 2004 gold-selling follow-up This Type of Thinking Could Do Us In which debuted #8 on the Billboard Top 200. The releases that followed held their own against the ever-changing faces of popular music for the time. 2007's Vena Sera reached #2 for rock album on the Billboard charts. 2009's release Sci-Fi Crimes reached #6 on the Billboard Top 200 and #1 on the alternative charts. 2011's Hats Off to The Bull reached #5 on the Billboard Top 200, 2014's La Gargola debuted #3 on the Billboard Top 200. Most recently, 2016's The North Corridor album debuted #8 and soon reached #2 on the Billboard Top 200. La Gargola and The North Corridor both debuted #1 on the Billboard rock charts with The North Corridor vinyl release reaching #7 on the Billboard top 25 Vinyl charts. Chevelle released a B-sides and rarities collection titled 12 Bloody Spies in October 2018 while they wrote and recorded their much anticipated 9th studio album. This next album release, set for 2020 will be sure to add another chapter to the extensive catalog of this successful music career.

The House of Blues is a cool venue, but they sold WAAAY too many tickets to the event. It was nearly impossible to find space to stand, the bars and bathroom were practically inaccessible. The is no way that was a safe environment for anyone attending.

They had no opening band so they played for quite a while which was awesome. A little issue with the microphone made it hard to hear the lyrics at times so that’s why I gave the show 4 stars.

By 8:10, some fans in the crowd are booing, cursing and shouting "let's go"at the stage, because not one person has shown face on the stage. Past 8:30, finally someone shows up on stage. It was an act nobody seemed to know, as no opening act was ever announced. They were surprisingly good, and well received. After about a 6 song set, another longer than usual wait for Chevelle. By the time They came on stage, it had been well over 2 hours since "start time"for a 6 song set by a band nobody even knew. As good as they may be, I assure you very few people would have agreed to spend 2 hours to hear 20 minutes of songs from an artist they didnt know.

Chevelle was tight, and sounded great! Energetic as always, for a three-piece Band. They played for almost two hours with minimal breaks. Definitely worth seeing, even though Ticketmaster tends to lump-on alot of extra charges that don’t add anything to the Concert experience.

Opener was great too. Line was kinda long with getting in and merch but everything else was amazing.

Their music translates incredibly to the stage and their live sound is always top notch. Chevelle puts out a consistently superior musical product on stage. Their music always energizes the crowd and that is what the show is all about.......the music. No politics or other commentary on stage....just some good old fashioned butt kicking hard rock. I prefer to see them on their own tours as opposed to festival shows with shorter sets. This full 90 minute set was awesome and contained almost every song I would have chosen. We traveled to Las Vegas for this show and I hope to see them again on this tour if they get closer to my part of the country.
