R&b and neo-soul artist India.Arie musician, producer, singer and songwriter whose post-hip-hop urban blues and Motown sound has released five albums and sold over 10 million records worldwide. Born India Arie Simpson in October 1975, she garnering a lot of attention from her concert at the 1998 Lilith Fair tour and eventually signed to Motown Records. Her debut studio album Acoustic Soul was released in March 2001 and debuted at No. 10 on the U.S. Billboard 200 and No. 3 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, selling over three million copies worldwide, and earning seven Grammy Award nominations. She toured in support of Sade, playing shows for ticket holders across North America in 2011. Her platinum sophomore album Voyage to India came out in September 2002 and debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200, winning Grammys for Best R&B Album and Best Urban/Alternative Performance for the song Little Things. In 2006, she released her third studio album Testimony: Vol. 1, Life & Relationship, giving Arie her first No. 1 spot on the Billboard chart. Its follow-up, 2009’s Testimony: Vol. 2, Love & Politics, came out in February 2009, and won her the Best Urban/Alternative Performance Grammy Award for the track Pearls. She also won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals in 2011 for a cover of John Lennon’s Imagine with Jeff Beck, Herbie Hancock, Konono Nº1, Pink, Oumou Sangaré and Seal. Her fifth studio album Songversation was released in June 2013 and debuted at No. 7 with singles 6th Avenue and Cocoa Butter.
India Arie and her band gave us a musical experience like no other. The music alone was superb and the visuals helped to impart the message. Yes, we are all worthy!
India was absolutely AMAZING. Every detail of her show chosen with intention and served a purpose in expressing the importance of Self Worth and Self Love. I left there feeling free and at peace. From the opening song "I am Light" to her closing thoughts Everyone of is is worthy. She helped to me remember and reaffirm my value and Worth.
The venue was great!!! Small and personal. India was inspiring. A great recharge. Lots of Positive energy.
The only thing I will say is it would have been nice if I could have been a bit more comfortable. Maybe when the seats were put together in the rows, we could have had one less seat in the rows. It was so tight. Everyone was sitting tight against the person next to you. Won't come again if it will always be that way.
Terrible meet and greet arrangement. Waited to long outside for really nothing special but a QUICK picture with India. That was not worth the extra money!
India Arie is a true performer who gives you your money's worth. She was REAL and AUTHENTIC and me and my wifey had a great time. Definitely worth seeing again,.......
India is a beautiful soul inside and out. Very uplifting. My seat mate sang along and his voice was great too. Helped me to hear the awesome lyrics!
From the beginning of the show with Mykal Kilgore, this was a special event. I felt like I was sitting in the family room with a good friend on a comfy sofa. My daughter and I left the show positive and upbeat. Definitely an event to see!

Miss India you are truly a treasure. It was such a pleasure to listen to her live and to be surrounded by fellow songbirds who shared her love of music, positivity and energy. Her opening act was outstanding, her band was amazing and she sounds exactly like her albums. Unfiltered, real and so uplifting. I've been waiting ten years to see her live and I was not disappointed. She's also a libra and we speak the same language when it comes to accepting everyone for who they are.
This was an awesome experience. I especially loved the VIP experience with the sound check and meet and greet!
My lovely daughter received her white coat earlier that day at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. What a monumental event in her journey.Then to too the event off with India.Arie speaking and singing strength, courage wisdom ,I am light , What if , I am not my Hair. All affirmative, positive words ....it was like putting the cherries on top of the ice cream.!!! And of course my daughter knew all the words to her music since she has been listening to her music since she was six years old. 🤗🤗🤗💐💐
India is an exceptional Artist because she is a positive person and lived up to the hype She was totally down to Earth and I would definitely see her again in concert Oh and her background singers can BLOW!!!
The evening was wonderful. The concert was therapy and India could really do no wrong despite being tired. She was authentic as usual and that just underscored her awesomeness. That concert was sold out for a reason. India.Arie and her team owe me nothing! We love you, India.Arie!
We decided to purchase the meet and greet package and it was totally awesome! I love India Arie and had an amazing time at the concert!
Wow!! First of all Humphrey's by the Bay is an amazing venue for India to play at --> next to the water and sailboats ... and under that smiling moon. Powerful that she both opened & closed her concert with a "prayer" song in her WORTHY Songversation !! Amazing that she hand-picked Houston Gospel singer Gene Moore to be her opening act AND also her backup singer! Wow! he's an extraordinary talent also!! I really only knew the songs "Video" and "Brown Skin" before my first voyage/vacation to India last night. She sets the bar for how a great singer should connect with her audience and to carry us all over her moon!! I'll be going to see her again whenever I can !! And IMO, she blew the socks off both Jill Scott & Diana Krall (who I saw both here at the same venue this summer) WORTHY of every compliment, India !! Bravo!! and ENCORE !!!
This performance left me feeling like I got what I came there for. A spiritual awakening. She was soo interactive with us. A concert goer was trying to get too close to the stage and even refused to leave. She demanded that they not throw him out. Wonderful experience for my first concert!!!
