Nobody can sing like Whitney herself but all in all it was a good show and certainly a worthwhile way to spend a very pleasant afternoon at the Fisher Theatre. We weren't able to see Deborah Cox perform because of her contract agreement that allows her to avoid certain shows. Needless to say, that was a huge disappointment but the understudies provided a nice performance.
This was one of the best plays I've seen. It felt like more like a concert; I wanted to stand up and dance with the cast. Deborah Cox is the perfect person to perform Whitney Houston's songs. Her voice is AMAZING, absolutely loved this production!
I’m so happy that I was able attend! Deborah Cox was definitely an excellent choice to play Rachel. I was taken back in time and moved to tears by hearing her rendition of “ I will always love you “ Her costar was also excellent as was the rest of the cast and crew. Kudos to them for a beautiful set and performance!
Bodyguard was well worth it. Very entertaining and well done.
I saw the show twice, once in East Lansing and again at the Fisher in Detroit. The entire production was amazing! Rachel and Nikki--So much talent! Frank Farmer totally grew on me. This is a must see! 5 Entertainment Stars!
This show was absolutely amazing! The singing was mesmerizing, especially by the wonderful Deborah Cox. Nicci & Fletcher also did a great job. The entire show was awesome & entertaining!
Bodyguard was one of the best musicals we have seen in a long time. If you closed your eyes you would swear it was Whitney Houston!! Would love to see it again!
The Bodyguard, a mimic of the film of the same name, was full of flash and stage tricks, but suffered from weak direction and acting. Many of the leads were unintelligible, and appeared to have no stage training, especially the lead who played Rachel Marin. The character who played Rachel's sister appeared to be staged trained, had projection and a great voice, and should have been the lead. This is sure to disappoint.
The singing was excellent! The boy who played Fletcher nailed it!

Deborah cox really did amazing! I do not think this show would have been as good if she wasn't Rachel. Knocked it out of the park! The actor that played frank was great too! He even had the right affliction to his voice! The karaoke scene was so funny! This is a must see!

I have seen many many shows.. This ONE.. might be my all time favorite. They did the movie justice.. Debra Cox was fabulous. She had all Whitney's motions down with her hands and her pronunciations of words. I was getting chills throughout every song. The whole ensemble was GREAT.. I loved, loved, loved the show.. I may have to go back again another day.. LOVED IT!!!
The 2 lead characters were amazing.....especially Deborah Cox....not many can sing Whitney Houston, but she did it beautifully.....enjoyed all of her performances!
this musical was sooooooo much more than i ever thought it was going to be, Deborah Cox made me speechless, i cried, i sang, i clapped i gave a standing ovation. It was just plan awesome! wish I could see it again!
