Mary Poppins (Touring) Tickets

Play was entertaining. A back stage alarm delayed the start of the show for 1 entire hour. This was extremely challenging wait for the younger Mary Poppins audience members. Music Hall management made a couple of announcement updates. Beyond the updates, no effort was made to appease or comp the crowd in any manner. This resulted in very hungry show goers (for those who stayed the entire 3 hours for the production & the extra initial 1 hour - start time was 2pm). Many left at intermission.

Overall we enjoyed it but we could not hear well, especially when the children spoke or sang. Would be interested in knowing if the Music Hall had a hearing system for the hard of hearing. It was good we couldn't hear good and could not see as good as we had hoped. The sets however were absolutley amazing.

The broadway musical was a surprise for my wife. She enjoyed it tremendously. The actresses and actors were very precise in movement and art ... the set was very colorful and set the mood for the vibrant expressions of the people performing..thus making it heartwarming and exciting..and simply "AMAZING"

Show started an hour late. I had trouble understanding the words they were saying, Especially Mary Poppin's character.

A lively, entertaining show with several surprises to keep your attention! Very well done. The backdrops are spectacular!

It was not good that we had to wait almost an hour for the show to start due to alarms going off backstage. It was hard to keep young children from getting restless. The show itself was good, started off slow during the 1st Act, but did pick up in the 2nd Act. We should realized that a stage version will not be exactly like the movie, but the statues in the park coming to life, that was a little weird.

Felt this was a good version of the story. Amazing set with lots of moving parts. The step number with the chimney sweeps stole the show.

I loved how they had pulled everything together. The magic that they added to it was amazing, I didn't think I would have liked the scene changes, but it was amazing! The stage was awesome! Highly recommend going to it. Just amazing.

What a fantastic musical. The cast was exceptional as was the singing and dancing. I loved all the different set changes. I had read all the positive reviews and am very glad I went to see it. I would highly recommend seeing it. You won't be disappointed.

It was an amazing show. We wanted to see it again as soon as it ended!

I took my daughter and her friends for her 11th birthday celebration. By the last 45 minutes they were all asking "How much longer?". I have to admit I was ready before it was over too and nobody loves a musical more than I. Great stage and props. Bert was the best. The kids and bird lady were good also.

This was an amazing show!!! Had 2 small children aged 6 and 3 and they loved it as well. The set was unbelieveable and the actors were right on target. The music and dancing was perfect.

My daughter and I really enjoyed the play. I felt, however, that the children were not easy to hear or understand. They talked too fast and not clear enough to know what they were saying.

One of my favorite shows by far!! What an amazing performance, the backdrops and lighting were "perfect in every way."

I took my 2 grown daughters and 7 and 6 year old granddaughters on Friday night. Although it was cute and fun I would say that it was over the heads of my little ones. I would not recommend for anyone under the age of at least 10 or 11. The play version did not capture the attention of the young children including those around us. The play itself had a few slow spots where I wondered if it was dragging on a bit. The musical production numbers were very good. The lead actress and actor very good. The children who played the roles of Jane and Micheal were just ok. Difficult to understand at some points what they were saying with the rehearsed accents. Overall I would recommend mainly to adults and older children.

While the scenery was good and the dancing was good, the dialogue was too hard to understand. It was just so hard that it took away from the story. If I had not already seen it before I would not have understood it.

The sets – fabulous and magical! Music and dancing – fabulous, spirit lifting, and energizing! Bert, Mr. and Mrs. Banks, the bird lady – all beautiful Voices! Singing voice of Mary Poppins – very disappointing. I don't know if she had injured her vocal chords or if she had stressed her voice – but it was not pleasing to hear. Even my grand girls said – is she supposed to sound all screechy like that. I would still recommend the show, but I wonder if some other actress should have been put in the performance I saw because there was clearly something wrong with the voice of who was playing Mary Poppins the evening we were there. I hope this was not some cost-cutting measure to keep this young woman in the role instead of replacing her when I feel she clearly should have been.. I saw the show in Chicago as well a couple of years ago and the Mary Poppins was outstanding. That was not the case in Kansas City. Still the music is happy - the original Songs are delightful – and the dancing was outstanding. Still worth going to see but not the extraordinary performance I saw in Chicago!

What a fun way to spend an evening. The performance was outstanding, the set designs were amazing the evening was..simply put...one of the best! I was very impressed by the production and it made me realize that I have been missing out on a lot by not attending shows in the past and will be sending in my information this week to reserve some seats for the 2013-14 season! Who could not enjoy an evening going down memory lane while watching a piece of work that so many of us enjoyed years ago and can enjoy again with a live performance. It was also fun to see the familes coming into the venue with their little children all dressed up for an evening out together. I highly recommend!
