Alice Cooper in Concert

Rock icon Alice Cooper is teaming up with Grammy-winning hard rock band Halestorm for a co-headline amphitheater tour across North America in the summer of 2019. The 19-city tour will kick off July 17 in Allentown, PA at the PPL Center and make stops in Detroit, Chicago, Houston, and more before ending August 16 in Camden, NJ at the BB&T Pavilion.

Rock 'n Roll Hall of Famer Cooper brings an all new show and very different look than recent tours. Dubbed as "Ol' Black Eyes Is Back," new music is expected in time for the tour, produced by his longtime collaborator Bob Ezrin. He produced 2017's acclaimed Paranormal album, featuring friends like ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons, U2's Larry Mullen Jr, and Deep Purple's Roger Glover, as well as original Alice Cooper band members Neal Smith, Dennis Dunaway and Michael Bruce. Cooper's most recent release was in 2018 with the live album A Paranormal Evening At The Olympia Paris. In addition to recording and touring both on his own and with the Hollywood Vampires (with pals Joe Perry and Johnny Depp), Cooper continues his nightly syndicated radio show "Nights With Alice Cooper," heard worldwide on over 100 radio stations.

Hands down the best music venue!

by JT on 10/8/23The St. Augustine Amphitheatre - St Augustine

The Amp is easily one of the best music venues I've ever attended. From the moment you drive through the entrance to the park you are greeted with a smile and a sincere attempt to assist in the experience. My wife requires ADA equipment and they have a great plan in place to get you to the right spot. That being said, the handicap access seats are located at the extreme end of the pit area directly in front of the sub speakers on the floor roughly 5' wide and 7' tall. By directly I mean we could lean over and touch them. When the show starts the energy is awesome and immediately everyone is standing up and cheering including me... for a moment. At this show (Alice Cooper Is still Awesome!!) everyone around us stood up for the entire show. Which means my wife sitting in a wheelchair spends the whole time looking at everyone's backside and has to crane to the left and right constantly just to get a glimpse of the performers. Dear Amp, could you please create a section for ADA access that is a little more centered and elevated enough that when people stand up in front of you it doesn't interrupt the view?! Thank you!

    Good, But Not Great...

by Devoted Fan on 10/8/23The St. Augustine Amphitheatre - St Augustine

I have been a HUGE AC fan for 50 years. I have bought his music over, and over, through the years. I bought the LPs, then the cassette tapes, and then the CDs. I also subscribe to Amazon Music. So, I have bought all the same songs many times. When I saw this concert coming up, I built an entire trip around this concert, and flew from California to Florida to see the show. i spent the money, serious money, to do the meet and greet. I know that AC is 75 years old. I know what to expect when I see the concert. However, I thought that when you spend this much money, that you would get some significant time with the man. I was wrong. I was particularly dismayed when I read the “Get ready for the concert” email that I received the day before the show. This is what it said: “What to expect at your event: Please no selfies/videos during the photo op Autographs will not be allowed during the photo op Photos may be socially distanced Please note that there is a wait time from when you check in to when the VIP event starts The M&G takes place after doors have opened. Please note that there is not a designated area in front of the stage for VIPs with GA tickets.” When you pay $800/ticket for the show, I think it is reasonable to expect more. Maybe I am wrong. I have some connections to AC that I believe were fun to talk about. Instead of spending 1 minute with each M&G guest, he could have sat down in front of the whole group, and talked to us. Guests could have asked questions and conversed with him, and everyone else could have had the benefit of hearing those conversations. It would actually be easier for him, if you think about it. Then, we all could have taken individual photos in rapid succession, which wouldn’t have taken very long. From everything that I have read, AC has been very generous with his time. He takes the time to sign autographs, and talks to people. Why was it different this time? Why couldn’t we bring items for him to sign? I had my original program from the Welcome to my Nightmare Tour, and my original ticket stub. It would have taken him 15 seconds to sign those items. While I was standing in line, every one of the VIP ticket holders brought some items to sign. They were all disappointed that autographs were “off limits”. The concert was great! AC really knocked it out of the park. I am supposed to receive the “goody bag” in the mail with the signed poster, set list, and other items. I hope that is done nicely. I am still very happy that I went to the show. I spent thousands of dollars to get there. I get the feeling that his tours now are just for monetary gain. For a guy that says that he is “Christian”, you would have thought that he would have spent the time with his fans to show it. This event seemed like it was all about the money. I could be wrong. I would like to hear what other fans think about their experience? Finally, I am an avid golfer. I bought his book: “Alice Cooper, Golf Monster”, and I read it on the plane before I got to Florida. Great book! He golfs every single day, according to the book. Maybe, he could have had a M&G at a local golf course, and spent 30 minutes with us on the tee box or putting green, and just talked to us. That would have been super cool! All in all, I am still very happy that I made the effort, and went to the show! I hope that AC keeps going strong! The Welcome to my Nightmare concert was my first concert, and one of my most memorable. AC is a Rock and Roll Icon! I would highly recommend seeing him if you have the cash and the motivation!

    50+yrs of top shelf entertainment

by gravedigger on 10/7/23The St. Augustine Amphitheatre - St Augustine

Alice, Alice, Alice, what can I say. I've seen your shows 6 times from 1971 to 2023 and always left the show getting more than my money's worth. The St. Augustine show was no exception. He and the band were in fine form. No banter from the stage to the audience until the very last song. Just one song to the next, to the next, to the next. He commits his whole self to show and it shows. Happily for me, much of the music was from his '70s albums. What a hoot! Most of the songs were older than the musicians on stage. If you've only got $100 left to your name- GO SEE ALICE COOPER. You won't regret it.

    Flashback!

by Pat on 10/7/23The St. Augustine Amphitheatre - St Augustine

I was surprised to find it was an outdoor venue! Very reminiscent of an old concert area in a Chicagoland suburb called Poplar Creek. It was a beautiful night, light breeze, perfect temperature! Ample, reasonable, convenient parking! A tame crowd of 50 & 60-somethings; I was in my realm! Alice hit the stage, only 15 min. late, but the crowd didn't mind! I haven't seen him since his 'Welcome To My Nightmare' tour in the mid-70's. He is STILL quite the show-man! The only negative comment, would be for the sound man. I think it was just a SMIDGE too loud, just teetering on the wrong side of distortion. If it were just a TAD lower, I think it would've been an even more pleasurable experience. All in all, it was a great concert!

    Welcome to My Review

by RH on 10/7/23The St. Augustine Amphitheatre - St Augustine

Alice Cooper is still a class act, (even though School’s out). He is a superstar entertainer, the band was tight and the show was worth the money. I was able to take my high schooler and third grader and they both enjoyed the night. The St. Augustine amphitheater is a great venue for concerts.
