Everything, from costumes to the chandelier and back to the phantom (Derrick Davis) was amazing, beautiful, and breathtaking. I wish I could watch multiple times, can't wait for next year!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the musical. The voices were superb. The sets were clever and the costumes beautiful. The performance had such energy that the audience and the cast connected Like magic. A standing ovation celebrated the enchantment.
This show has been on my bucket list for years, I finally got to see it this past weekend and all I can say is wow, wow, and wow! I loved every aspect of it! The sets were great, the singing was fantastic and the acting just drew me in. I highly recommend it, it is a show not to be missed.
4 women aged 21 to 60 saw this show on 9/24/17 from a Mezzanine seat. We all loved it and thought the sets, costumes and acting/singing were amazing! Although we had all seen some form of this show before (play, movie), it was riveting to watch and the voices were top quality. The orchestra did a fantastic job as well. The venue is a gorgeous antique marvel that Boston should be proud of and preserve. The only negative I could say is I wish it had recycling bins considering they did sell drinks in plastic bottles.
The Opera singers/actors were very good. The ladies have some loud pipes. The set design was very well done. Loved the pyrotechnics.
It was incredible, the phantom had an amazing voice and so did Christine. I loved it! Derrick Davis played the phantom just the way it should be played and he has a fantastic voice and great stage presence and I loved it.
The cast and orchestra are excellent and sets are awesome but Derrick Davis is spectacular as the Phantom! I've never been a fan of this story and the songs don't grab me but when Mr Davis sings he makes the show a winner.
I have listened to the music from the Phantom of the Opera for years. I watched the movie. Finally, I got to see the show!! It was amazing experience from the first tunes to the finale. Brilliant voices, unbelievable music, theater atmosphere - all was beyond the expectations.

Despite the repetition of all the music, it's a very great production! Cast is too notch and sets are phenomenal! A must see for Phan-atics (of the Opera)!

I've seen the original cast productions in both London and Broadway, and also seen the show at least five additional times over the years. This is the best production, best set, and best singing and staging of any production I have ever seen. People who have seen prior productions NEED to see this one to fully appreciate the show.
Our first time to the Boston Opera and the Opera House is an incredibly beautiful venue. The production of the show was great, some wonderful voices and acting. First class performance.

We went to see The Phantom of the Opera for the first time. The show was well acted and sung. The stage was well set and decorated. I found that the stage crew worked well in the smooth transition of the scenes. The sound was excellent and the lighting was exceptional. I know this is not your usual review but I an a "teck" person doing Community Theater for the last 45 years and see shows in a different perspective. I have always found that actors and actresses come and go but a good teck person it hard to find and is something that theaters try to entice from each other. This show is one that has a very good teck people and it shows to people like me. As I said the performers are very good and so are the back stage people making this show well worth seeing.
always an added extra when going to an already awesome show to have phenomenal talent on stage. still singing three days later.
