About Earthquake
Earthquake Live
Up front and straight to the point is how Earthquake describes his style of comedy. Audiences wouldnāt want it any other way from a performer whoās revered by comedy fans and is fellow comedians alike for his razor-sharp wit and frank, funny take on the world around him. Thatās the brand he brings to the Strip for a much-anticipated series of performances at the Laugh Factory in the Tropicana Las Vegas.
Born Nathaniel Stroman, Earthquake earned his nickname from his mother growing up in the southeast of Washington, D.C. After an 11-year career in the Air Force, he decided to develop his comedy career, working as a stand-up in Atlantaās comedy clubs before breaking through nationally as a performer on the Def Comedy Jam Tour in 1997.
His later TV appearances include Premium Blend on Comedy Central and Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO. He also starred as Uncle Mike on Everybody Hates Chris and appeared alongside Ice Cube in The Longshots.
He continues to tour extensively in the U.S. and Canada, with highly acclaimed performances at festivals such as The Comedy Festival in Las Vegas and Just for Laughs in Montreal.
Earthquake Background
A comedian, actor and radio host born and raised in Washington, D.C., Nathaniel Stroman has been better known as Earthquake ever since he was given the nickname by his mother. He joined the Air Force the day after graduating high school, eventually rising to the rank of sergeant. He ended his 11-year military career during the first Gulf War in 1991.
All those experiences helped Earthquake develop the honest and often hilarious style of stand-up that first earned him attention in the Atlanta area in the early 1990s. His national breakthrough arrived in 1997 when he joined Russell Simmonsā Def Comedy Jam Tour. Appearances on such shows as BETās ComicView led to further opportunities in film and TV, including spots on Comedy Centralās Premium Blend, Jamie Foxxās stand-up showcase Laffapalooza!, Weekends at the D.L. with D.L. Hughley and Real Time with Bill Maher. Earthquake also performed the recurring role of Uncle Mike on The CWās Everybody Hates Chris, starred in Kevin Smithās Clerks II and voiced the part of Root the Rooster in the 2006 animated hit Barnyard.
Released in 2005, Earthquakeās first DVD About Got Damm Time was hailed as a frank, fearless and hysterically funny demonstration of his stand-up abilities. It also helped cement his place as a favorite of fellow comedians like Whoopi Goldberg and John Mulaney.

I laughed from the beginning to the end! Seeing the Queen Lunell in person was the best part of the show! I'm most definitely going to see Earthquake again!!!
I has front row tickets and would buy again. First time ever seeing Earthquake in person and he was hilariously very funny. He just kept it real ! I even got a chance to take a pic with him.
Really enjoyed everyone very funny did not disappoint
This was my first comedy show at this venue and it exceeded my expectation! I had an outer town guest he loved the show as well .
Epic moments of jokes, story telling and impromptu entertainment. We had a great time and highly recommended everyone to go see Earthquake, (outstanding lineup) You will not be disappointed.
We had excellent seats. Small venue, all seats were good. Weather was perfect. Earthquake was funny as hell!
Date night with Hubby, we had a wonderful time, and our seats were perfect!
Earthquake was so funny, he had me in tears. I enjoyed Lunell (who is my queen of comedy). Darnell was on point and the other two gentlemen were funny as well. I enjoyed myself!
Definitely enjoyed myself when I saw Quake Sat 8/12/23 in Country Club Hill Amphitheater in Illinois. Was my first time seeing him live & also Donnell Rawlings. And an even bigger surprise, LUENELL was there, because all the original flyers never even mentioned her. So I was very happy to see her. But the show was hilarious of course and the venue was a vibe, comfortable etc; first time going there as well. Only thing I wish was for the seats have cup holders.
The show was very good and I appreciate those Dads taking time away from their families on Father's Day to show Jersey some Love on Daddy Day i will be there next year!
We flew in from Seattle @ 930 pm show,,, the line was long and moved quick. Earthquake had us in tears... we still laugh.. the opening act was just as funny. Food was delicious, parking is free.. yes its next to the Amc theater not inside. The waiters were excellent... we would come back...
Earthquake & the other comedians were phenomenal. I had a wonderful time.
The experience was wonderful. We laugh and enjoy ourselves.
Great show love sits easy access no long drink lines, had great Fatherās Day šš¾šš¾
OMG funny from start to finish!!! NEFEW Tommy is a one of a kind host! I laughed so hard I was tearing up and my eyelashes fell off and I didn't give a damn!!!! This show gave me and my dad a memory that will last a lifetime!
Iāve been attending this show since its start! An Earthquake continues to bring us the Best comedians out there! Never disappointed an a fantastic way to spend fatherāsā¦
The show was everything! All of the comedians was funny and Nephew Tommy talked about his victory over Cancer. It touched my family because my brother-in-law was in the audience and he is fighting Liver Cancer. We are fighting with him and heās of sound mind and spirit! We knew a sign was sent from GOD and he will have his own victory!!
You will be laughing all throughout the show. Each comedian came with fire !!! A must see
The venue NJPAC is old and outdated; we spent quite a bit of money for box tickets and were unable to view the stage or hear the comedians performing from the 3rd tier BOX G seats A & B. I have vertigo. The only way to view the stage was to lean dangerously over a very old 3-foot balcony ledge. The audio was horrible in order to hear you have to request a box with headphones and the service on those kept going out. Parking was not conveniently across the street from the venue however, they raised the rates for performance night to $28. When you leave you have to pay your ticket through a kiosk machine to get through the gate. 5000 people all leaving at the same time and 3 machines to pay for your parking. 1-hour wait in line to pay for parking. The area in Newark is not the safest to be let alone standing there for hours to get to your vehicle after the show. I would give Earthquake four stars for his performance it was not as long as the opening performers. My overall experience would be a 2 only because he did a great performance that could not be heard.
