The Newman Center for the Performing Arts is located on the southwest corner of E. Iliff Avenue and S. University Boulevard, and is approximately 1 mile south of the University Boulevard and I-25 interchange (Exit #205).

Parking

Parking is available in the adjacent parking garage, just south of the Newman Center. Enter the garage from East Wesley Avenue.

Parking is FREE for all Newman Center Presents events, as well as many Lamont School of Music and DU Theater events.

For all other shows held at the Newman Center, there is an $8 event parking fee in the garage.

For purchasing tickets during normal business hours, there is a 20 minute loading zone located on the north side of the Newman Center on E. Iliff Ave. Otherwise, $1.25/hr visitor parking is available on the ground level of the parking garage.

*Caution*
Parking in the neighborhood is not advised, as most side streets have a one-hour parking limit. Please do not park in front of driveways or your vehicle will be towed. Please do not park in the lot of the Iliff School of Theology (on the north side of Iliff Ave., across the street from the Newman Center).

Public Transportation
RTD bus route 24 serves University Boulevard, and has a stop on the east side of the Newman Center on University Boulevard.

RTD bus route 21 has a stop on the corner of University Boulevard and Evans Ave. (within a 6 minute walk of the Newman Center)

The light rail station has a University of Denver stop (about a 20 minute walk to/from the Newman Center), and RTD bus route 24 provides service from that light rail station as well.

Will Call

Will Call will open 1 ½ hours before Newman Center Presents events, and 1 hour before all other shows. You must present photo I.D. to obtain your tickets.

Accessible Seating

The Newman Center for the Performing Arts is fully accessible to patrons in wheelchairs and those with other special needs. Accessible parking is available in the Newman Center parking garage, and a 20-minute loading zone is located on the north side of the Newman Center on E. Iliff Ave. Assisted listening devices are available for performances in Gates Concert Hall. Patrons may be asked to leave an ID card in exchange for use of headphones.

General Rules

All sales are final. No refunds. Exchange policies vary depending on the type of event and where the ticket purchase was made. Please contact the Newman Center Box Office for further details at (303) 871-7720, Option 2 on the menu.

Late arrivals will be seated at the discretion of the house manager. Seating for late arrivals may be delayed until the next intermission, or may be located in seats at the rear of the theatre.

Food and beverages are prohibited in all theatres. Smoking is prohibited everywhere in the Newman Center. There is a designated smoking area to the southwest of the building, near the intersection of York St. and Wesley Ave.

Photography and/or recording of performances is strictly prohibited.

Artists and programs are subject to change without notice.

All cell phones, pagers, watch alarms and electronic hand-held devices of any kind must be turned off or disabled during all performances.

Please check your tickets for correct dates, times and seat locations.


Children Rules

Patrons are encouraged to call the Newman Center for information about the suitability of events for children. Everyone attending a performance, including small children, must have a ticket.
