Click your heels together and join Scarecrow, Tin Man, Lion, Dorothy and her little dog Toto, as they journey through the magical land of Oz to meet the Wizard and obtain their hearts' desires. Watch out for the Wicked Witch of the West and her winged monkeys as you rediscover the real story of Oz in this fantastic musical treat for all the family. Starring Danielle Wade as Dorothy, who was chosen by the Canadian public through CBC TV's reality show "Over The Rainbow," the tour of THE WIZARD OF OZ is an enchanting adaptation of the all-time classic. Developed from the ever popular MGM screenplay, this new production contains all the beloved Harold Arlen and E.Y. Harburg songs from the Oscar®-winning movie score, all the favorite characters and iconic moments, plus a few surprises along the way, including new songs by Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber.

The audience was filled with families so that was a good sign since our group was made up of many under the age of 8. Do not expect this play to follow the movie exactly, it cut out many of the scenes so as to shorten the play. But for all who already knew the storyline, we did not need to question it. When Dorothy sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", it was at its best and I could hear "sniffling from the audience"! The scenery was basic, nothing to wow about BUT the acting was awesome! I never heard restless or bored kids in the audience so it must have kept their interest.
Nicely done stage version of the orginal classic. Actors, scenery and technical effects were all wonderful
I saw a different showing several yrs ago that was more professional. The film behind the stage was sort of lame.
What an amazing production. We took our 4 year old grandson and 13 year old granddaughter, but purchased seats that would give us an easy exit if either got fidgety enough to be distracting. We needn't worried. They both sat at the edge of their seats for the ENTIRE show! No wonder! The cast was fantastic. They did all the original songs (and did a great job on every one), and fit a few new ones beautifully in to the story. I'm not normally one to make a big deal out of set design, but this was so well done I can't help but say WOW!
Was a great show and we had a wonderful time. The revamp of the show and new songs really added a lot to the production. The use of new technology mixed with the traditional staging really made the show feel new.
My husband and I love the show! My two sons, 6 and 4 enjoyed it very much! They are now singing the songs !
The seatinh was definitely not worth the price of the tickets!!!!
After growing up with the famed Wizard of Oz movie, and those fabulous movie costumes, this was disappointing. The lead of Dorothy seemed weak, but who could ever compare or replace Ms Judy Garland and her amazing voice? The best thing was the actress that played the Witch, she was outstanding! Outstanding! If you do see this, you will enjoy her performance, no doubt, and some of the new songs. Warning, I think this could give your children under 12 nightmares, no joke.
The show was totally enjoyable and took on an updated feeling. There were humorous parts that had the whole audience laughing. I loved how they did all the scenery changes!
