    Rock n Roll show

by prufirstimer on 1/24/18NYCB Theatre at Westbury - Westbury

This is a great format for a rock show. Get the singers from different bands together and let them sing their hits with a band that can play right with them. I didn't see Asia, Foreigner, Toto and the Tubes but when you close your eyes that's what it sounds like. Loved hearing Lou Gramm belt out "Hot Blooded" and "Cold As Ice." The hit of the show for me was Fee Waybill. He looked like he was enjoying singing for us as much as we loved hearing "She's a Beauty" and "Talk to Ya Later." Thanks John Payne for putting the show together and emceeing.

    Good but fell short.

by 1concertgo on 1/23/18NYCB Theatre at Westbury - Westbury

Before the start of the show they announced Boby Kimball would not be there due to unforeseen circumstances. They did offer refunds if you wanted one. John Paynes Asia was good as was Fee Waybill of the Tubes. Steve Augeri can never replace Steve Perry. John Payne and the band played Toto songs as if it was rehearsed and they knew way in advance Bobby Kimball wouldn't be there. Lou Gramm who I have seen many times before came out and did two songs but not with his band. This time he sounded bad and when asked by John Payne if he was gonna do more, he just said "I don't think so", and walked out like something was really bothering him. The band had really great musicians and I enjoyed the songs of Fee Waybill and Asia though.

Rock Pack - Long Island show

by Anonymous on 1/23/18NYCB Theatre at Westbury - Westbury

Great show with great musicians. I fun night hearing all the hits from many of the classic songs that we all grew up listening too, performed by former members of those groups.

    Rock Pack

by Hawkeye9 on 1/23/18NYCB Theatre at Westbury - Westbury

I really like the concept of the Rock Pack - gathering 5 ex-lead singers with a polished backing band to play about 4 or 5 of each of their old band's greatest hits. However, going in, I knew it would be bittersweet because while the musicians kept the music fresh and lively, these lead singers are mostly past their primes and it showed with some more than others. It still was a good time and we're glad we went and would entertain another similarly arranged group with other performers, but it is buyer beware.

Rock Pack with Lou Gramm and Steve Augeri.

by PlayfulguyNYC on 1/23/18NYCB Theatre at Westbury - Westbury

Sound crew needs to be fired. Steve Augeri a ND Lou Gramm sang 3 songs each and you couldn't even hear Augeri at all, was expecting Augeri to sing more as well as Gramm, but 6 songs between them, don't waste your money.
