    NSO Planets

by Anon on 1/25/20The Anthem - Washington

The concert was great! The opening act was very cool. The Chromatics- they sang songs about space. The bar staff were excellent. However- the food options are very limited and popcorn was the only gluten free option. 😡 The Anthem needs to do better with providing a variety of options particularly on weeknights when people are coming right from work. I would come back but will definitely plan on eating somewhere else.

    NASA steals show

by Anonymous on 1/25/20The Anthem - Washington

NSO was great but we didn’t realize it was NASA night and though the Chromatics sounded beautiful that’s not what we were there for. They sang too many songs and the NASA Administrator was full of positive energy but got a little full of himself and spent too much time on stage. NSO was the main act but they were overshadowed by the NASA theme. It’s fine if that’s the way you want to run the show - next time just advertise it as such because we went in expecting NSO to be the main focus but it ended up being NASA Night with a performance by NSO and to my children and I, that was disappointing.

    No drink

    by L. on 1/25/20The Anthem - Washington

There is a bottleneck entering the theatre bec of the assumption everyone will drink alcohol and therefore needs an ID check to get banded . How about a no alcohol line, and given a different color band ( Ex red) from the alcohol band ( Ex green). At Nationals Park there is an express No Bags entrance & no need to have anything examined. BUT please notify the “wanders” that people like my husband has an implanted cardioverter defribillator ( ICD) and absolutely cannot be examined this way or his $100,000 device will be ruined. I love going to The Anthem & have been there many times but you can tell that the security portion can be improved. THX

    Fun prelude

by BLupi on 1/25/20The Anthem - Washington

They were fun and funny and, literally, rocket scientists. The songs were mostly written for kids, but all the performers were very engaging so it worked. Who would have thought that astrophysicists had such lovely voices.
