The Bumper Jacksons Tickets

My wife, I and grandson enjoyed the eclectic mix of music and humor. Disappointed in that the audience was mostly older folks with a sprinkle of younger people and only our one grandchild. The show was really enjoyable and everyone in the audience had a great time. I wish everyone would support music in all its genres, you might be surprised sometimes. Where else can you see such a variety of instruments and someone to play such as the washboard with bells and wooden croaking frogs with black silk gloves with thimble finger tips?

The Junior League Band opened with fine musicians and sweet tunes. The Bumper Jacksons are, however, a step up in unique ensemble and performance polish. Unfortunately, the Birchmere insists on cranking up the sound so you can feel the bass in your butt and can't understand lyrics. Nothing, of course, is distorted, its a kickass system after all. But words get lost in the volume. Like listening to singers in heavy traffic. I guess it helps CD sales, though. I was glad I could take their music home with me so I could understand the lyrics. Even if I turn it up.
