The Basement Tapes Tickets

This show was unusual in that the band was not there because of bad weather. They had a local guitar player stand in to cover for that problem. You would not have known he was not a regular part of the show if Howard had not told us, because he fit in perfectly. It was as if he had been doing this for years. The music itself was great. I didn't know what to expect since this was called "a project." It turned out to be Howard's interpretation of some songs that Dillon and his band recorded for themselves, rather than for publication. Howard read some excerpts from a book about the sessions that added to the understanding of what this was all about. The music was great. Although I had only heard one song before, they were almost all very enjoyable. The entire audience seemed to enjoy the show and wanted more. A good time was had by all and I think everyone there would recommend this show to friends.
