    I fell asleep

by Anonymous on 7/26/16Waikiki Shell - Honolulu

It should have been named Firefall with guest appearances by Stephen Bishop and Ambrosia. Amount of playtime was: 80% Firefall with overly extended sets of ambiguous songs, 15% Ambrosia, and 5% Stephen Bishop.

    Nice Concert

by Beauishere on 7/26/16Waikiki Shell - Honolulu

Festival is a bit of a stretch. This was a nice three act concert though. Firefall started the show and they were terrific. This band does itself an injustice going out on these oldie tours. The vocals were terrific and the band was as tight as you would expect from a group who have played together this long. There was nothing 'oldie' about it. Just fantastic. And the crowd rewarded them with several rowdy standing ovations. I'd pay to see them by themselves if they ever come through the islands again. Stephen Bishop was funny and entertaining but was not served well by having Ambrosia as his band. I'd have preferred he go it solo. His intimate songs would have been showcased better without the strange and sloppy arrangements. Ambrosia. God bless anyone making music, but this group should just change it's name already. They are everything you would expect from the free lounge act at the California hotel in Vegas. These guys and women were playing the old songs ('cause that's how they advertise) but without even Karaoke worthy quality. Now, I'm hip that a lot of groups have to replace original members for various reasons, but unless your gig is to make new music an effort has to be made to find replacements that can at least attempt to match the original player/vocalist' style. Quality aside, these acts were probably a mismatch as Firefall was a country rock outfit from Boulder while Ambrosia and Stephen Bishop are very 80's L.A. acts. I guess the thread was their love songs, but like I said, the way Firefall played, they should have been a headliner anyway.

    Outstanding Performances, Renewed Fan!

by NoeK on 7/26/16Waikiki Shell - Honolulu

The concert was amazing. Firefall, Ambrosia and Stephen Bishop did not disappoint. Their musical and singing talent never ceases to amaze. I was also very happy to have the opportunity to meet and chat with them afterwards for signing autographs.

Great concert. I didn't care for the pre-show group. Their music wasn't compatible with the main event.

    THIS CONCERT WAS FABULOUS!

by DEBLUVBUNNY on 9/23/14Saban Theatre - Beverly Hills

I originally got tickets because I love Dan Hill and was disappointed that he had to cancel but these three were absolutely wonderful. Besides being incredibly talented, they turned the event to a fun incredibly warm and cozy evening. Our first time at the Saban Theatre and we absolutely will go back again and again!

Stephen Bishop was awesome 34 years later!

by caligirlnj on 3/30/11B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

I saw him live for the first time in 77', was worth the long break. He sang all his hits and more. Can still hit the high notes, took my request and went for it. Also, he has a fun sense of humor. Tour more Bish!

    Great show, great place!

by Randino on 3/30/11B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

First, when you walk into B.B. Kings its like a wave that hits you…to know and feel all the great names that have played there… Stephen Bishop, his guitar, his voice up on stage accompanied only by his piano player, was so pure and simple. The intimacy of the venue was matched only by how Stephens’s guitar & voice blended together on all of hits. “Animal house” to “On & on” you felt the laughter and even some upwelling…as a musician myself I loved how pure his sound was. I will see Stephen Bishop, and I will visit the B.B. King blues club, both again…
