About

Really Funny Comedians (Who Happen to Be Women) On Tour

Humor has the power to transcend anything and everything, no matter your age, race, or gender. So, while men have long dominated the comedy scene on both stage and screen, women are finally getting their due. Yes, women can be funny, too, and if you had any doubts, Really Funny Comedians (Who Happen to Be Women) will put you right in your place. Following in the lineage of such pioneering female comics as Phyllis Diller, Margaret Cho, and Wanda Sykes, this regularly scheduled comedy showcase presents some of the funniest ladies to ever grace a stage. And since there are so many hilarious females to choose from, the lineup is always changing from month to month.

The Really Funny Comedians have featured both up-and-coming and veteran stand-up comics who have sold-out shows across the U.S.; made appearances on Comedy Central, HBO, and Showtime; and performed at classic clubs like Los Angeles' Improv Comedy Club and San Francisco's The Purple Onion. The show is a regular at San Francisco's Punch Line Comedy Club and Cobb's Comedy Club, and has also made its way to the Punch Line clubs in cities like Sacramento and Philadelphia.

Past lineups have included comedians like Marga Gomez, Carla Clayy, Ester Steinberg, Lydia Popovich, Janine Brito, Caitlin Gill, and Cheryl the Soccer Mom. Expect outrageous confessions, side-splitting stories, twists, turns, and killer punchlines hitting a wide range of topics from the woes of online dating to the annoyances of motherhood to the pains of family get-togethers. Each showcase of Really Funny Comedians (Who Happen to Be Women) features a host and three stand-up comics for a full night of comedy. This is a show you can easily see more than once — and it's highly recommended if you want to check out the latest and greatest local comedians, who just happen to be women, of course.

Event Lived Up To Its Name

by Sherid505 on 5/30/23Punch Line Philly - Philadelphia

Really Funny Comedians (Who Happen to Be Women) lived up to it's name. The line up was stellar. Truly funny comedians each in their own right. Special call out to Katrina's act. We were still laughing and talking about it the next day. Service was spot on, venue was clean, and seats were great. Would have given it a 5-star rating except the parking situation. All in all, going back there again.

    Meh….

by BigL on 5/29/23Punch Line Philly - Philadelphia

Just overall not a funny experience with over priced food/drinks. It least make the event with a bit better talent. The 1st and 2nd comics were the best . The host and the last comic , not to great.

    Majority of comedians not funny

by Anonymous on 8/18/18Punch Line Philly - Philadelphia

We had a group of 7 people. The consensus was that the only funny comedians were the last two performers. Disappointing show.
