Pub Choir puts the spotlight on its guests with a special group experience that turns a fun karaoke party into a professionally-led choral performance. Directed by Astrid Jorgensen, the Brisbane, Australia-based exhibition travels across the globe for inclusive and improvised sessions that put a twist on popular songs with the unique voices of each audience in three-part harmony. Previous renditions have earned praise from their cover artists such as Kate Bush, who called the group’s take on “Running Up That Hill” “utterly, utterly wonderful” and Mariah Carey, who said she was “singing with all of you” after their holiday performance of “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” Pub Choir welcomes guests of all vocal abilities and is an 18+ event.

    Unexpected fun

    I only knew we would be learning a song and then singing it at the end. What I wasn't expecting was the amount of laughter we would have with the jokes and comments from the host Astrid. Her sense of humor was right up my alley. The room was broken into 3 sections and we all learned our parts. The song came together and we had a great time. If you're looking for something different I highly recommend attending Pup Choir. I would totally do it again!
