This performance was all over the place with no clear voice. The individual performances were void of charisma or emotion. There was no tension, no joy, no suspense, no spirit. The dancing itself felt contrived and unrehearsed. It was apparent there was no cohesion at all. In a play for children, one would expect some form of inspiration and there was none.

This was the strangest rendition of Sleeping Beauty ever imagined. The storyline was a combination of Sleeping Beauty, The Little Red Riding Hood and Cats (maybe the best part), told by mediocre and unenthusiastic talent (except for the cat duo). The set design was extremely plain as was the choreography, failing to capture and retain the young audience's attention (and mine frankly). I do feel a bit guilty about criticizing given the affordability of the tickets, but it really didn't feel like a lot was put into this show. Would not have gone had I known...
