TikTok sensation Nicky Youre exploded onto the scene in December 2021 when his hit pop song "Sunroof" went viral on all streaming platforms and cracked Billboard's Top 5.

Born in 1999 in Anaheim, California, Youre (real name Nicholas Scott Ure) started making music in 2017, releasing his debut single "Sex And Lemonade" in June 2020. "Sex And Lemonade" featured the producer Laiki, whose EP Together/Separate featured a number of collaborations with Youre.

After attending two years at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, where he wrote and released "Sex And Lemonade," Youre transferred to UC San Diego.

Youre's breakthrough single was his second-ever song, "Sunroof," which featured producer Dazy (formerly known as Snocker). By November 2022, "Sunroof" had cracked the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and had been streamed 382 million times on Spotify. "I wanted to make a song that captured the feeling of excitement you get when you meet someone that you can't stop thinking about," Youre later told Early Rising of the track. "I wanted to have a product that was fun and high-energy while still being easy to listen to. When I meet someone like this, the thought of them is like an itch in my brain that I can't scratch. So I wanted the song to be catchy so it sticks in your head just like when you're stuck thinking about someone."

Since its release, Youre has performed "Sunroof" with his new band on NBC's "TODAY" show and on SiriusXM Hits 1. In August 2022, Youre released a Sunroof Remixes EP featuring work from Thomas Rhett, Manuel Turizo, 24kGoldn, and Loud Luxury, as well as an acoustic version of the song.

The hype around "Sunroof" got Youre signed to Columbia Records. Since "Sunroof," Youre has released the singles "Never Go Wrong" with David Hugo and "Eyes On You." He frequently posts new material on his TikTok account, where he seeks input from fans.

Opening up about "Eyes On You," Youre has said: "I wrote this song after a special person in my life moved to California. We were finally in the same state, and it felt so good to be close to them. The weekend before I wrote it, I had gone to a country concert and was inspired by how fun and energetic country songs can be, as well as how full they feel live. I wanted to try to capture those feelings with this song. The combination of those two events was enough for me to write a fun love song you can sing in your car or scream along with all of your friends at a concert."
