About

Natural Wonder: The Stevie Wonder Experience

It takes one genuine talent to properly emulate another. But when it comes to Stevie Wonder — the musical genius who could play multiple instruments, sing multiple octaves, write hit songs, and produce hit albums — we're talking an almost unprecedented level of talent. Perhaps that's why so few artists have even attempted to go down the tribute-band path with Wonder's material. Nobody does it like the man himself.

One other man comes close: Gabriel Bello, a world-class musician, singer, and performer in his own right. When he fronts his core five-piece band — and especially when he embellishes the group with a full horn section — Bello virtually becomes Stevie in style and sound. He named his group Natural Wonder because his transformation is exactly that.

Bello was born to Dominican, music-loving parents in Massachusetts. Like Wonder, he was a child prodigy who grew up in the church singing and playing several instruments, including saxophone, flute, and piano. His family moved to Florida when he was young, and he attended music school at Lee University in Tennessee.

While there, a life-threatening cancer scare drove him to the most important moment of his life, when he performed alongside worship artist Ron Kenoly and received what he could only describe as miracle healing. Since that time, Gallo has dedicated himself to music ministry.

His professional career began in Nashville as a session player, producer, arranger, and engineer working on albums by rising stars in the Christian music community. In 2011, Gallo released his eponymous solo debut, unseating Michael Buble to take the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Smooth Jazz Charts for 11 weeks.

The next year, inspired not only by Wonder's music but his social conscience, Gallo launched Natural Wonder, the ultimate Stevie Wonder experience. Based out of Charlotte, North Carolina, and backed by a cadre of world-class musicians, Natural Wonder brings Wonder's timeless songs to eager audiences across the U.S. and Canada.

From Motown-era hits like "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" and "My Cherie Amour" to 1970s funk classics like "Master Blaster" and "Do I Do," not to mention the compositional brilliance of the Songs in the Key of Life album, Gallo is dedicated to perfecting his repertoire and spreading the gospel of Stevie Wonder.

    Natural Wonder Review

by AR on 5/24/23Chrome Showroom at Santa Fe Station Hotel & Casino - Las Vegas

The show was terrible. Did they not have to audition before being booked to perform? The band members were decent, but no emotion or showmanship, very boring, just going through the motions. But the worst of it was the vocalist. Not only did he sound nothing like Stevie, he couldn’t even carry a tune. Everyone around me was disgusted. It was embarrassing.

Horrible Event Do not waste your money

by Courtney on 5/16/23Chrome Showroom at Santa Fe Station Hotel & Casino - Las Vegas

A Stevie Wonder Impersonater who was absolutely horrible. From the moment he literally ran out on stage ,to making corny jokes and inappropriate jokes about being visually impaired,to his worst ever karaoke singing voice, and mumbling the words and skipping over words,he put on the worst performance I've ever seen and Stevie Wonder himself would have been highly disappointed. People were literally walking out of the event after like 15mins extremely upset and asking for a refund because it was a joke and not worth the time . The only good thing was the band they were amazing but the Impersonater need to study the greatest legend of all times better than what he did.He did not look like him not even close to having his stage performance nor singing voice, his voice was terrible. NATURAL WONDER EXPERIENCE WHERE..Title should have been just Wonder like seriously because everyone's thought in the audience was wondering what the hell he was doing on stage. All his shows need to be cancelled

    Great band and vocal!

by TOMOKO on 5/16/23Chrome Showroom at Santa Fe Station Hotel & Casino - Las Vegas

I felt bad that the vocalist had lost his voice so he couldn’t hit some notes but as I am also a singer myself so I understand how that goes when we’re sick… and i could still tell how great a vocalist he usually is., and playing keys and harmonica just like Stevie was great. For the all white, and, older musicians, they sounded great. I just wish they had some background vocals as well.

    An enjoyable evening

by Kyle on 5/16/23Chrome Showroom at Santa Fe Station Hotel & Casino - Las Vegas

I bought the tickets to take my Mother out to celebrate Mother's Day. The show started exactly on time and he definitely sang like Stevie Wonder. My mother loved it and I enjoyed it too. My only suggestion would be to remove some of the more obscure Stevie Wonder songs and replace them with more recognizable songs. However, most of the good ones were played and we loved singing along.

In a word, outstanding performance. The show should have been better promoted by Wheeling Island.
