    Super Show!

by GypsyGirl on 12/25/21The Corbin Arena - Corbin

Michael & Darci were fantastic! I especially enjoyed how balanced they were- neither one had more exposure than the other. They each had their solo time & also did duets. Generations both represented very well. But no “Little Drummer Boy”? I think Oscar could have tackled that… maybe? Or just Darci herself! The bandmates are equally talented. Professional players make great music! Darci came out a bundle of energy but after the intermission she seemed almost exhausted. She seemed a bit lackluster. Hope she was/is ok! She was/is just remarkable & my mom loved her!! Highlight of the year after her stroke. (Thank you, Darci! She so wanted to meet you!) Only major show detraction was the “sales pitch” to support the children charity. Yes, it’s a noble cause BUT we weren’t there for an infomercial to support international kids when our own need the same. We are at a concert for entertainment & “escape”! Pitchman was long-winded & not very good, considering it’s what he does. It turned off a lot of people around us. We aren’t unsympathetic but it just wasn’t the place for a sales pitch. It REALLY brought down the momentum of the show. I was surprised how many people left then & during the short intermission! Maybe that contributed? Per the arena, it was my 1st time there. The “too big purse” rule was ridiculous as baby diaper bags were just fine! I had my handicapped mom with me & the purse I was using held extra items I may have needed for her, plus my glasses, phone & wallet- but I had to take it back to the car. And no, it wasn’t THAT large of a purse, either- not even a backpack or a bag. Ridiculous. The seat rows could have had *just a tad* more leg room for those of us who are taller but it was MUCH better than Rupp in Lexington!!!! I felt bad for the kids behind us as I just don’t know how THEY could see the performances “in person”- not the screen- since everyone is at the same level. The big screen was great, though. Aisles were fairly wide. Staff weren’t overly friendly but not quite rude. They all just seemed aloof. Pros: free parking!! Thank you!!! And concession stand prices were very much appreciated! Best, low & reasonable prices I think I have ever seen at any event. The little things mean a lot- they either add up to create, or detract from, a great event & experience. Sound system was good- no problems. Parking lot lighted well enough- I felt safe going back & forth to my car. Suggestions: Maybe more space available for wheelchairs. Nix the big purse rule. A couple more signs to let you know where to go & that you ARE at the arena. First timers in rain at night… :-)

Really put us in the Christmas spirit!

by Randy C on 12/22/21Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

The first 15 -20 minutes was a bit slow, but then got much better when Michael played and sang more of 'his' songs. Then, it was amazing! Michael and Darci are super talented and we really enjoyed the show.

This was a wonderfully fun Christmas show with so many traditional carols as well as Micheal’s classics. Darci Lynn was delightful!

    This was so much fun!

by Wonderful Show! on 12/21/21Grand Ole Opry House - Nashville

We really enjoyed watching Michael and Darci Lynne singing and performing. Michael played all his classics and watching the two of them interact with the puppets were so much fun! Well worth the price and traveling to Nashville!

    Concert was awesome!!

by Tammy on 12/21/21The Corbin Arena - Corbin

The concert and show was awesome!! We bought popcorn and it was so salty we ask for a different one and it was just as salty. Others around us were also talking about it, and we ended up not being able to eat it. The venue was nice and clean and really not a bad seat in the arena. It was a nice evening w my husband and he loved I surprised him!! Highly recommend this concert and this arena minus the salty popcorn lol!!

    Headliner was not the best.

by MIchael Hager on 12/21/21Bon Secours Wellness Arena - Greenville

Perhaps Mr. Smith was suffering from a cold or sore throat, but we were disappointed in his over all performance. He was really only comfortable when playing his instrumental pieces, which made up somewhat for his lack of vocal skills that night. Darci Lynne on the other hand was the true star of the show. She projected a Carrie Underwood worthy performance both with and without her puppets. Amazing voice and personality of stage presence. you've got to admire someone who can sing like that, much more with her mouth closed and in several different voices and accents.
