Everyone's favorite ogre is back in this hilarious stage spectacle, based on the Oscar-winning, smash-hit film.
"Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek...." And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you've got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there's one on hand... and his name is Shrek.
Shrek the Musical brings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage and proves there's more to the story than meets the ears.
This was great fun for our whole family! - The theater is great and there's no such thing as a bad seat. - The play was long enough to tell the story, but short enough that it didn't push the attention span of little kids to the limit. - The interactive Q&A session after the play was a LOVELY surprise!
Six year old enjoyed the show. As an adult my favorite part was the dragon, the lady had an amazing voice. This was the third show I’ve seen at Marriot and my favorite.
Great show for kids and adults. The characters really interacted with the audience and involved the kids.
Cast was great, venue was awesome!!! Kids loved the show and was great for adults too..
They show was hilarious and a lot of fun for all ages. My kids enjoyed it (8 and 9 years old). I loved how the stage was in the center of the room and everyone sat around it. I also loved the Q and A section with the cast at the end.
My daughter became obsessed with Shrek the Musical after watching it on Netflix. We found these tickets and drove over 2 hours to see the show. We loved the Marriott theater. There was not a bad seat in the house. Plus the cast came up and down the aisles so it really felt like you were part of the action. Even my husband who does not enjoy musicals and I thought he would hated a kids program loved it and said we should find a different show to take the kids too.
Everything from the great seating, cordial ushers, and theater setting to the beautiful singing and acting by the performers made this one of the best for adults and children. The pace of the show, costumes, music, and storyline kept my grandchildren interested from beginning to end. I love to see the actors interact with the audience for question/answers about the show.
All of the kids loved it and loved that they got to ask questions!
