Lexington Philharmonic Tickets

This was the second time I've been to Picnic with the Pops. I didn't think my first time could have been equaled but the Lexington Philharmonic pulled it off again. How the orchestra is able to be so perfectly timed with what's going on on the screen is amazing. The talent in this orchestra is out of this world! I would have made the hour and a half trip again the next night to see the same performance again! And, the children in the audience seemed to love the performance as well! I hope to attend many more events like this with the Lexington Pops.

A great idea to have LexPhil play the score live. Wasn't sure how that would work but it was perfectly synced. I hope they do it again next year. The costumes of the audience really added to the festivities. The folks from Keeneland were so helpful and the weather was great. But the stars of the evening were the orchestra members and Scott Terrell as they played almost constantly with the movie dialog and dancing and singing. Don't know how they did it but it was terrific!! Wish I could give it 6 stars. And the movie really is about two women fighting over shoes;)))

We should have gotten a table to see the screen better. But the venue and sound was wonderful for a summer night!
