After battling the devastating loss of her sister in late 2015. She transferred all her emotions and everything into her craft. Through Leila's journey, she was unknowingly curating what would, later on, be known as "DETOUR" in 2021. As the world fell victim to a pandemic that brought everything to a halt in early 2020. Dey decided it was the time to finally complete and release a project that many of us saw ourselves in. No matter the walk of life. "DETOUR", is a project perfectly reflective of the time. During the project creation stage, Leila received recognition from industry greats for her performances and Tik Tok covers. From her Cover of SWV's "Rain", which was reposted by the Producer/Songwriter Brain Morgan who went on to say "@kardinalo Bro Chills on my own shit" Rap Legends Like Ghostface Killah and Snoop Dogg reaching out to let Dey know they love what they're seeing. Recently, Leila has had a growing Tik Tok page full of her renditions of R&B classics and favorites. The most viewed post at 414.9k caught the eye of Ms. Anita Baker. Ms. Baker came across Leila's duet with Vade of "Rapture" and reposted it as she sang their praises. Dey has shown time and time again how crucial artist development and growth have helped her curate this community of Dey Dreamers.

Fall "2021", marks the release of Leila's newest project DETOUR released October 8th and can be found on all streaming platforms. Dey is undeniably on her way to making a name for herself in this music industry. The release of DETOUR: The Visual EP includes 1 unreleased record. Leila has set a new standard and her supporters cannot wait to see her soar.
