The first time I've seen him and he did not disappoint. I've been a fan for years and was happy to finally get to see him live. A jazz legend with a unique sound all his own. A great experience.
John Scofield was great, gave a solid show. As for the venue, no so great. There was an usher where I was seated near entrance 53 who was so distracting during the performance. She clearly had a mandate to stop guests from recording the concert and proceeded to put on a distracting display of running around, through the audience and wave her finger at those that appeared to be using their phones. At one point she pulled out a flashlight and pointed the light towards those in the upper seats (right over the performer)..I couldn’t believe it. I would suggest to management at this venue to refrain from this action in the future. People go out to concerts to be physically and emotionally connected to the live performers - this activity just disconnects and frustrates guests. I’m not likely to return.
