    Disappointing

by Dan on 4/2/24Miami Dade County Auditorium - Miami

While the acting was good the sound system was poor and uneven.. Script needed editing. Staging/ players needed to be closer to audience esp given sound system. Flamenco did not punctuate dialog as needed.

    La Casa de Bernarda Alba

by Josie on 4/2/24Miami Dade County Auditorium - Miami

The acting of the main characters was greater than I expected, I particularly liked Bernarda and Poncia's. The flamenco music in the background and the "bailaor"added authenticity to the performance, it was well inserted to the plot. I will look for other plays put together by SAH.

    Outstanding!!!

by DJ Moto on 4/2/24Miami Dade County Auditorium - Miami

Kudos to the entire cast of this magnificent play La Casa de Bernarda Alba, written by Spanish poet and playwright Federico Garcia Lorca, who resurrected and revitalized the most basic strains of Spanish poetry and theater. All of the actors were absolutely superb, the musicians were heavenly, especially Salvador de Angela, whose passionate voice gave me goosebumps and moved me to tears. Pedro Medrano's dancing was a gift to the eyes. Alba Raquel Barros was spectacular in the lead role of Bernarda, and Rosa Vasconcelos as Poncia was phenomenal. Roxana Montenegro as Martirio deserves special praise, an unforgettable performance. An entertaining and moving play from beginning to finish, bravo to all involved in the production of this play, and thank you for bringing Spanish theater to Miami. A stand-up ovation to everyone in this play!!!

    Amazing and Exquisite

by Arlene on 4/2/24Miami Dade County Auditorium - Miami

From the beginning it captivates your attention when one of the characters (which is the one at the end that connects to the action) drops from the ceiling of the theater after taking her life. The interaction of the charachters was amazing. Young and mature actresses were outstanding each in its own way. It was amazing to have talent from different nationalities as it allows you to enjoy their insight behind each presentation. The sensual scene behind the gates of the gated window for the girl in love was presented subtle to the audience and meaningful to the mind. The main charachter portrayed by actress Alba Raquel Barros was exceptional. Her scene were she finds out her daughter has died was riveting. To have that music protrayed by Flamenco performers and its music to the times becoming part of the script was perfect. My praise, admiration and respect to its producer and director Miguel Sahid not only for the production, creativity and detailing but for the effort to keep good latino theaters performance for our spanish audience. Thank you.!!!!!
