Kudos to the entire cast of this magnificent play La Casa de Bernarda Alba, written by Spanish poet and playwright Federico Garcia Lorca, who resurrected and revitalized the most basic strains of Spanish poetry and theater. All of the actors were absolutely superb, the musicians were heavenly, especially Salvador de Angela, whose passionate voice gave me goosebumps and moved me to tears. Pedro Medrano's dancing was a gift to the eyes. Alba Raquel Barros was spectacular in the lead role of Bernarda, and Rosa Vasconcelos as Poncia was phenomenal. Roxana Montenegro as Martirio deserves special praise, an unforgettable performance. An entertaining and moving play from beginning to finish, bravo to all involved in the production of this play, and thank you for bringing Spanish theater to Miami. A stand-up ovation to everyone in this play!!!
