HALF PAST TWO IN CONCERT:

Half Past Two continue their reign as one of Southern California's premier ska bands, returning in 2014 from a two-year hiatus with more energy and sax-fueled bombast than ever. The band's live shows are decidedly boisterous affairs, as frontwoman Tara Pierce leads seven talented players through dizzying sets of fast-paced ska while happy concertgoers skank in abandon. Half Past Two have warmed up the stage for some of the genre's biggest acts, and their energetic live performances have them well on their way towards a headlining tour of their own.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

A group of students at Orange County's Los Alamitos High School formed Half Past Two in 2002. After cutting their teeth playing school talent shows and friends' birthday parties, the band had a fateful encounter with Reel Big Fish frontman Aaron Barrett, who agreed to produce their debut EP Closet Polar Bear. By 2008 Half Past Two was opening for Reel Big Fish as well as local shows for legends like the Aquabats and English Beat. In early 2009 they released their full-length debut It's About Time, a regional hit that received airplay on famed LA radio station KROQ.  After a two year hiatus the band reformed in 2014 under the leadership of frontwoman Tara Pearce, thrilling ticket buyers with the announcement of new material and tour dates.
