What a great show! Great energy, song selection and interaction with the crowd. Left feeling very satisfied!
Terrible if Train wasn’t the headliner me and my group would have left. It was pure agony
I've been a fan since 94', and the reasons remain the same. A wholly unique genre (hip-hop blues, etc.), delivered with mesmerising showmanship and musicianship. G. really connects with the audience like none other, and the Sauce follows his lead, delivering a thunderous support. The strong mix of classic hits, mixed with fresh new joints keeps me coming back for more. This was my first time at Echo Lounge, and will now keep it on my radar as a venue to watch.
Great show, very entertaining. Played a lot of the old hits. Cool venue, very intimate. Had some fairly serious sounds issues. Band lost their monitors, also seemed to loose vocals close to the stage. Seemed to have figured it out, but not so sure, vocals were difficult to hear all night. Guest guitarist for a song or two was amazing, but way too loud. Over powered the rest of the band and really could not hear the vocals
First time at the venue, we loved it. My wife and I have seen G Love for the past several years, when he comes to Dallas. The only issue was the sound system. Not sure who’s fault that would be. We couldn’t really hear him. Techs tried to fix it, but it never really worked.
These guys jammed and have a lot of soul! Crowd was mellow and fun (and a little bit older like me!). Echo Lounge venue was clean and had good drinks. Not too big, not too small. Would go back.
Very excited to see G Love we showed up at 7pm as per the ticket, email, and advertising. There was no mention of opening band. At 8pm we asked when G Love would start, the reply was “after the opener”. We left at 9pm having never heard anything. Very disappointing. Be more clear what time you are going to play and with who… We purchased reserve seats plus Ubers and dinner made for an expensive night of nothing!
The show in Boston was really great. The Paradise is a wonderful venue and everything went smoothly with my e ticket. I got right in.
I have to begin by saying that I’ve seen G Love more than any other artist. I will never forget the party shows. All the hits, but also some great jams, humor — everyone dancing. But I honestly prefer how he has evolved musically. Last night seemed like the culmination of a shift that he’s projected over the last few years. I was a little unsure before the show, but collaborating with Donovan Frankenreiter just made so much sense, and although we heard way less of the hits and early greats, this show was wildly entertaining. G Love is a performer that you have to see live to appreciate. He is a true entertainer, and I hope he keeps doing whatever he wants to stay engaged with his music and audience.
