Highlighted as one of PEOPLE Magazine’s “talented emerging artists making their mark on the musical landscape” and deemed an “artist on the rise” by Billboard, Blakk made his debut with his 2018 EP Minutes and follow-up 2020 sophomore EP Sideways – the latter of which saw Blakk collaborate with the likes of Will IDAP (Train, Florida Georgia Line), Nick Long (King Princess), Carl Ryden (Ricky Martin, David Guetta), Ollie Green (Freya Ridings, Gavin James) & more to tell a love story through an incredibly realistic and candid lens. The 6-track collection featured singles “I Wish I Knew” (deemed an “introspective look at love and love lost” by American Songwriter) and uplifting anthem of resilience “Put Your Hands Up,” which debuted on an episode of ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy. A compelling live performer, Blakk has toured extensively supporting NEEDTOBREATHE, Gavin James and throughout North America with Dean Lewis.
Opener for Dean Lewis. Was amazing and stayed for the entire show to meet with every fan that wanted to.
Second time seeing him perform in Toronto, absolutely amazing! Very interactive and stayed behind for autographs and photos :)
Forest Blakk live was definitely the best live show I’ve ever seen! Awesome guy as well!
Forest was simply AMAZING! His songs have so much meaning and I loved when he explained their origin. He captivated the audience and instantly, everyone fell in love with him. He is so personable and down to earth. He is the kind of guy who will never forget where he came from and will always be grateful for the following he has. We are wedding stagers in the Hudson Valley and you can bet I will suggesting his songs as their 1st dance!
I have seen many, many concerts and I don't think I have ever left a review. Every now and then we come across extraordinary talent to add to the pool. He definitely fits this description. He is a storyteller. He is raw. He is humble. He is somewhere between folk, country, rock, pop, and......dare I even say...rap? But, if you hate rap, don't let that deter you. If you are young, old, or right in the middle, you will love him (and no, I'm not getting paid to say this. If you do not know this name, google Forest Black (one 'r', two "k's") and listen to a few of his songs. This was a tiny show. His first-time headlining. His "band" consists of 3 people. THREE people. We're talking no dedicated sound guy. This was a guitar, a Nord, & drums. And it was something I will always remember. I cannot wait to see where he goes with his career. I guarantee he will never sell $15 tickets again.
Great intimate venue, amazing artist and opener, and a overall rad time!
Got lucky to see such an intimate show before it sold out! The perfect performer for a date night and undoubtedly the last time I'll ever get as close again because this guy is set for a much bigger stage and audience next tour.
Forest is the most humble, big hearted, fan loving musician I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing and hearing. His music is emotional and inspiring. An amazing show that should not be missed by lovers of music and love ❤️ Always takes the time after show to meet with every fan who wishes to say hello. One who deserves to sell out many more shows at bigger venues.
He opened for Dean Lewis and I was immediately in love with his music! Not only an amazing artist but he’s humble and kind. Literally waited to meet any fan who wanted to stay and do so!! Can’t wait for him to come back!!!! His new album is 🔥
I saw him when he opened for Dean Lewis and I must say he’s now one of my top artists his songs are AMAZING and he seems like a great guy so all around great.
