Evolution Tickets

I thought they put on a great show, doing some songs from the beginning to the present! I was impressed!

Such a surprisingly awesome show! Evolution is not a note-for-note replica of Clapton's works, but absolutely accurately conveys the bluesy spirit of his prime years. The musicians are top notch, fun, and clearly enjoy what the are doing, and love entertaining the crowd. Do not miss!

Evolution did a fantastic job playing Clapton's hits. From his early days with the Yardbirds, Cream and Derek and the Dominoes to his later solo work, Evolution nailed Clapton, which is saying a lot because playing Clapton is not easy to do. The entire Evolution band was outstanding, especially the drummer who was always right there, the keyboards, the bass player, and the two guitarists were all excellent. The lead singer had a strong, clear voice and sounded like Clapton. The tracks that stand out in my mind were Evolution's renditions of "Badge," "Here in Heaven," and a mash up of the accoustic and electric versions of "Layla." Evolution is an exceptional band and I would go see them play Clapton anytime. It's the next best thing to seeing Clapton himself play Clapton.

Evolution did Eric Clapton justice! The band is really good and the show was fantastic! Everyone has their favorite Clapton song and the band covered most of them. But when it came to Layla, my personal favorite, I would have preferred they sing both versions completely rather than starting out with the Clapton version and ending with the Derek and the Dominoes version. I was disappointed they didn't do the full version by Derek and the Dominoes. I saw Evolution at the Hardrock Rocksino in Northfield at Club Velvet. I will definitely go see them again should they come back.
