    Eric Idle Wilbur Theatre

    by CW74 on 10/10/18The Wilbur - Boston

It was overall a good show. The format was much like John Clease in Lynn, MA a month or so prior. The guest speaker on stage with Idle was the weakest part of the show. I'd rather hear more from Idle than the guest at any given point, but it was good nonetheless. It was a pleasure to see him and hear from such an icon. I've been a fan for decades and enjoyed seeing him live.

    Wonderful evening!

    by lh636 on 10/7/18The Wilbur - Boston

The interview model for the evening performance got off slowly and then revved up. Perhaps this was the first evening of their being on stage together. Eric Idle was wonderful!

    ERIC IDLE KILLS IT

by JOEDUCK on 10/7/18The Wilbur - Boston

Touring his new book "Always look on the bright side of life" Eric had the rapt crowd howling in laughter as he assessed his amazing life and career. The best part of all was of course the audience sing along of "sit on my face and bright side of life" that earned him a well deserved standing ovation..

    Eric Idle was so-so.

by gmutt on 10/7/18The Wilbur - Boston

The interviewer was awful. Spoke about himself too much and said "ah" way too many times. Eric Idle was ok, never really answered questions fully. I still don't know how the Troupe got their name even tho it was an audience submitted question. I expected more about the Monty Python days & that didn't happen because he only was out for a little over an hour. I did enjoy most of his stories. No reason to bring up politics. I'm not a Trump person but I didn't pay to hear political stuff. Overall the night was a bit of a disappointment.
