David Cross just tells it like it is!

by thePorters on 10/27/09Lyell B Clay Concert Theatre - Morgantown

Awesome awesome show. David Cross has a way of just saying the things you never could say, and in the funniest way imaginable. He has his set of 'jokes' or stories, but you tell that he can roll with whatever happens during the show as well, which makes him a wonderful stand-up. His stage presence/performance was great! Definately would recommend this show to friends!

David Cross is more awesome in person!

by ladyartist on 10/13/09The Midland by AMC - Kansas City

Having enjoyed David in so many of his many, varied roles it was a great preasure to be able to see him in person. I believe that David Cross will prove himself to rank up there with classic comedians as Geroge Carlin, if he hasn't already. I would go see him again if given the chance. Thanks David for a great show.

    Funny enough

by Niemskills on 10/12/09Lyell B Clay Concert Theatre - Morgantown

I thoroughly enjoyed Cross' performance at the CAC but it seemed like he was just running through his material. It was funny but lacked a bit of the in your face, cynical, sarcasm that is Cross' comedic backbone. Furthermore, there was a low turnout and Cross was probably wondering why he got booked in such a place.

    Cross and Glass in Morgantown

by negative9 on 10/12/09Lyell B Clay Concert Theatre - Morgantown

You must see this show! Cross is on point, Sharp, witty, and hillarious. I'm a long time fan from the Mr Shows on HBO and I loved his last CD but this was David Cross at his funniest in years. Todd Glass is a perfect compliment to Cross' brand of cinicism. He was very funny, I only wish that he could have had a longer set.

    Great Show

by Quynce on 10/12/09Lyell B Clay Concert Theatre - Morgantown

I love David Cross-- from Mr. Show, Arrested Development, etc. The show was great-- the warm up act was Todd Glass. Glass seemed a little off-- almost nervous or worried (it's odd because he's been doing stand up for a long time). Cross was at his best when he was doing his most contraversial stuff-- religion, politics, etc. His more juvenile humor went over okay, but isn't what I came to see. I think performers look at WVU and think they have to play down to the audience. We don't have a lot going on in town, so people of all ages come to the theater to see the shows. Our student body includes a lot of people from NY, NJ, and D.C.-- we're not as southern as you might think.

    Good and evil

by Luke33 on 10/11/09Lyell B Clay Concert Theatre - Morgantown

I am a republican and a Christian, and there were 30 minutes or more dedicated to his left-wing political views and anti-religious views. Other than that, he was brilliant. I am a fan of his humor, and he was a great storyteller. He is genuinely a funny guy. The show was really good.

I thought the content of the show was vaguer and i did not like some of the topics he choose to make jokes about them..If I knew more about him I would not have wasted my hard earned money seeing him.. I know the truth hurts but so be it..

    Cross keeps my heart

by keaton9583 on 10/5/09The Midland by AMC - Kansas City

The show was excellent. Tons of new material with little hints to old material and jokes most of the audience knew. Couldn't have been any better if he tried.

One of the best comedians anywhere!

by BenBen9 on 10/3/09The Midland by AMC - Kansas City

I have been waiting for years to see David Cross live. A big fan of Mr. Show and his live albums, I finally got to see the real thing. The show was great, he covered a wide range of topics and hit the nail on the head as usual. He had some quirky, off-the-wall add-ons in addition to the traditional stand-up. The only small disappointment I had was that he didn't do much ripping on the crowd like I had heard him do years ago. Todd Glass opened and was good. Overall the show was a great time and hopefully he'll come back to town sooner than before.
