The audience participation was so much fun. It seemed like everyone had so much fun at the show. Especially this kid named Cloud, he came up to the stage and read from a script, and it was hilarious. He will remember that for the rest of his life and probably tell the story for years to come. I bought a VIP ticket, so I was able to ask Daniel a question even though it was super cringey. I got a free poster (signed), bag, and lanyard. It was amazing of the ideas he came up with to keep the audience entertained like the evil spirit (especially taking over Daniel's body (my favorite part of the show)), the hoodie guy, the "sponsors" clips (the cereal with razor blades lol), dissing that poor girl's name (another favorite part of the show), the mini songs (especially the audience suggestion were so funny and him running up and down the stairs), asking the single ladies to stand up. It was so much fun.
Do not forget about the magician that opened for Daniel. Bernini was amazing as well. He seemed so excited to be there and appreciative to be there. He would not stop talking about how Harry Houdini performed there. I have no idea how he did any of those tricks. He posted a card on Instagram (seven of spades) and that was the card the girl on stage happened to get that card. I left him a comment on his page and he reply to me "thanks!" He replies to all comments and it awesome to see he so down to earth.
At the end of the show, Daniel got choked up and it was so wholesome. These two little girls that won free t-shirts came out at the end and show off their new shirts and it was so adorable (I can't even). I was able to meet my favorite YouTuber Joel from RoomieOfficial (sorry Daniel (you're my second favorite)) and he was so nice and took a picture with me (and retook it with me). I was also able to meet the Roomie Patreon gang and we out to dinner after the show and it was so much fun.
Constructive criticism:
I'm not sure why I could not get a picture with Daniel. That was so disappointing. I saw that a person name Zoey got to take a picture with Daniel and I'm not sure why I was not able to. I was able to take a picture with Joel, but not Daniel. It was Daniel's show, not Joel's. Considering that I paid 119 dollars and travel from Oregon to be there it was disappointing. So many other people wanted to take a picture with Daniel as well and they paid a lot of money and travel as well. When I tell people about the show, it would be nice to pull my phone out and be like "That's Daniel!" Joel also gave us false information that if we talk to a security guard that we could get a photo with Daniel. Boss said no.
I'm not sure why this show had to be on a Wednesday. As a Business major, maybe it was to keep the cost of renting out the Palace Theatre low (as I would imagine it would be expensive on a weekend). It was disappointing seeing comments like I can't go because it is in the middle of the week. So many people had to drop everything to be there because of course, we want to be there to support Daniel.
I get that this was a test to see how things would go, but he needs to go on tour. It is disappointing to see so many comments like "I cannot be there because it is too far from me." I want to see people go to the show who was not able to. I would also love to see it again. Maybe for the final show, he could livestream it and sell tickets, so people can go to it.
$119 is maybe a little expensive (debatable). I wish the VIP email instructions would have been in my main email because it ended up in my "promotion" tab on Gmail causing me to miss that email. I did not know to be at the theatre at 4:30 pm. I showed up late to the theatre causing me to miss out on the VIP experience.
Overall, the show was great. I had a great time. It was my first time in Los Angeles and I went to Rodeo Drive and got a new Chanel bag. Thank you so much Daniel for the amazing show and all the new memories.
