The views from the box are great if you want a view of the whole track and were watching the actual race. I thought the brunch was the only option that day, verses just coming in below to watch the horses for free. Needless to say, I bought a ticket, but I didnât need to. Brunch was expansive with lots of options, but some of the food was awful, but looked beautiful (like how do you mess up waffles?) lots of pastries, biscuits, eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, cheeses potatoes, berries and fresh fruit with whipped cream that were nice touches. They took away the food after the first hour which was odd so if you wanted to go back you really couldnât. Folks who showed up late were not going to eat. Everyone agreed the coffee was TERRIBLE< even the server said it was.. I ended up going down below where folks who didnât pay were and was able to see the horses up close and even pet one. I felt that was what I enjoyed the most. Iâd say to skip it unless you really wanted to spend the time there. It was rainy and cold so having an indoor warm option was nice.
